Glasshouse Tavern
For a tavern, I was really impressed. The lunch menu chicken parmigiana seemed small, but this was a real chicken breast rather than something processed so 5 stars for that! And the meal was plenty for a lunch option. Good locals beers on tap and friendly service. It seemed like it had recently been renovated which looked good. It had a tavern feel, with pokies, sports bar and pool table, so make sure you are open to that.

Some of the best slow cooked meats I have ever had. Can't wait to visit again.

Have been here a couple of times as my daughter is a local. Food and service are good. However what on earth is wrong with the aircon. It was a hot humid day and it was hotter in the restaurant than it was outside. Made for very uncomfortable eating and couldn’t wait to get outside. There really is no excuse for this.

We came here for dinner on Sunday night while travelling over the week end, and the food was delivered hot and delicious. Service was friendly and prompt. I’d never had cashews on a pizza before but I’ve got to say, it’s a winner.

The new reonnovations look great. Nice outside seating area for some classic people watching. We ordered the fish and chips and the chicken parmigiana. The meals were good. Fresh and hot on the plate. The size of the chicken parmigiana was small but was delicious. Ordered a black coffee which was half decent as well. The staff were not, not friendly but not overly cheery. It was a nice atmosphere and would come back if in the area again. The train station is at next door for those catching oxalic transport otherwise there's usually plenty of parking.

So close to giving 5 stars. I actually thought I had previously reviewed here. I visited not long after they reopened post their renovations. And I clearly remember it was NOT a good experience from service, food, etc, both of us considered we would never return.Having said that, I'm pleased to report they have redeemed themselves. They are dog friendly as long as you take a table outside. They already had a container for water for the puppy when we took our table. And after our goofball knocked it over, one of the waiters after bringing out food offered to replace it again, and really cheerfully too.We booked over the phone after confirming they are dog friendly. It was an easy & friendly process, you can book online too. We received an email with confirmation of our booking quickly afterwards. We ordered the meat madness pizza. It was good & filling. Full of meat & flavour. Our personal preference is not half cherry tomatoes on top as their flavour is quite strong and can be overpowering but still great & from an aesthetic view can see why they are done like that. And can I say, food arrived super quick too.Service from entry was cheerful & bright and seemed to continue during our time there. My only complaint was to do with drinks. Ordered a Canadian club and as she went to pour it, asked if they had bottles, ready to drink. She says no, I said that's OK, then as she went to pour it the other waiter said we have in cans, I said oh great, yes thanks. Then went to order a cocktail. Was told we can't do it. Waiter then explained why. That's all good I understood. He said you can pretty much order everything but a couple. So I said lemon meringue Martini. He said oh that's the only other one we can't do. It's not big deal but I kinda had my heart set on a cocktail and that kinda turned me off. I understand things happen. So that was kinda why I can't give 5 out of 5.So I will return, even though I'm not a local, and would recommend to others.
