Lovely owner and very relaxing

We've had a wonderful, relaxing midweek break here at Bed and Broccoli. Thank you Nikki and Scott for providing such a welcoming setting complete with lovely food and animal companions on the doorstep. This place is beautiful.

From the moment we arrived Nikki made us feel so welcome. We were greeted at the front by Scott and then led through to our gorgeous cottage by the old puppies, Khan and Chaz.The cottage has everything you need for a cosy and relaxing escape from the city. We spent our time playing board games and drinking wine by the fire. Nicky made us two incredible breakfasts and the best pizza we have had in a long while!We were able to feed the chooks (and one very handsome rooster) some canned corn and my personal highlight, Frankie the stear a couple of green apples! Walking around the cottage yard, you can see Roos around the perimeter that are safely snacking over Nikki’s watchful eye.There are lots of vegan friendly places in Castlemaine and Nikki was kind enough to tell us about her favourites. Also check out the markets if you are there over the weekend.This truly is such a special piece of the world. The work Nikki does with the Roos is so inspiring. We are in awe!We can’t wait to come back and play veganopoly round two! Thank you Nikki and Scott.

The serenity and ambience of Bed and Broccoli is truly something magical. Greeted by the welcoming committee of Khan, Chaz and the lovely chatty hens, you will instantly feel at home. Nikki goes out of her way to ensure that all her guests are comfortable and catered for - be sure to try her delicious cooking while you are there! If every person had just a teaspoon of the kindness and compassion that Nikki and Scott have for animals and the earth, the world would be a much better place.
