Looksmart Alterations

I got my trousers altered from here and they did a great job! The service was very quick and professional, and my trousers were ready for pickup in 5 days. The gentleman who served me was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely come back here for any alterations!

Went to LookSmart to get a quote for a simple pants hem, for quoted $45-60 which is extremely overpriced for hems.I asked if they have a price list for their services and the staff member rudely said all prices are in the computer and ushered me away.Wouldn’t recommend going here unless you want to be overcharged and treated rudely.

Went in today (Saturday 13/05/23) to get a suit altered that I had just purchased from Myer. Stood in there for 10 minutes ringing the bell and no one came. Half a dozen would be customers came in at the same time and we all left and went elsewhere.Business must be doing pretty well if they can ignore customers.

I had a fantastic experience with Look smart Emporium. 5 pieces of Zambesi (NZ) altered to perfection. Very happy. Thank you.

I received a $10 voucher from General Pants to alter my pants at Looksmart. I regretted my decision of coming to Looksmart before reading the google reviews. My new pair of jeans is completely ruined by the tailors there.I did two alterations - to shorten and to taper my jeans.Instead of tapering through the inner leg, the tailor did it from the outer leg, ruining the design of the jeans!!! Most jeans have bleached streaks on the outer leg. Thanks to the tailor there. The outerleg of the jeans is now half bleached and half un-bleached. (Look at the photo) It shows how inexperience the tailors are.Moreover, I thought shortening jeans, what could go wrong? The tailors simply removed the hem and the jeans now look super incomplete without the hem. They should have removed the hem, shortened it and then attached back the hem.I saved up to buy this pair of jeans and it is now ruined. I’ve brought it to another alteration shop to try to undo their mistakes. Hopefully I can salvage whatever that is left. (I took the photo below at the second alteration shop before, just in case the backdrop looks different for you.)DO NOT GO TO THIS ALTERATION SHOP PEOPLE.

I had a fantastic experience at LookSmart Emporium. I was served by Hang who also tailored my pants. My pants looked great, and Hang's customer service was brilliant! She went out of her way to ensure that I was happy with the quality of the tailoring. I highly recommend this place! I will definitely be going back!

thank you so much to Jodie! I came in the morning to get 2 skirts and tailored pants altered. I asked if I could get it done by the end of the day and she said she couldn’t which was fine so I just asked for the pants. Since I was working I went on my break to collect them and she was busy so she told me to come back later which was fine. Just went to collect my pants and she has finished all of the three pieces in the day! I’m so grateful thank you so much! And the length and finish is perfect!

Ali was absolutely fantastic, I cannot give him enough credit for his work! I am from Sydney and had a wedding to go to the following day. I ordered a dress online and it sat too big and the size smaller was too small. Ali helped me immensely, his customer service was wonderful and so professional. My dress was fixed within an hour (if that). He saved me a world of stress, absolutely wonderful wonderful person, could not recommend him enough!

My wife spend $300 for alternation, and they ruined my wife's $4000 Gucci Jacket. The shoulder hand stitches inside made the jacket looks worthless from the inside. Threads are loose, leaving small loops of the stitch threads. And shoulder fabric has not been tighten in leaving fabric folds around the shoulder at the back. The store manager acknowledged it and described the job as rubbish by her tailor. After discussion with the store manager, we agreed not to ask for compensation and accept a 80% refund for all the jobs done calculated by the store staff, and the store manager promised a refund by transfer. However, the store manager only transferred partial of the refund that she believes it's appropriate for the shoulder only without even notifying us, and she has not been returning phone calls, and we dropped in to the store 3 times, and she is always not there.Skill and creditability is none with this alternation.
