Camp Wambelong
Beautiful spot to camp deep into the Warrumbungles. Easy to get to other locations from here and it is nice and open. Blackman has defined camping spots, this one is open field so is the fast better option for a soft floor camper. Cheap, but don't forget to book with National Parks. There is a clean and well maintained drop toilet but no shower.

Camp Wambelong
A fantastic camping area for most campers. It may be a bit too undulating for large caravans and 'mobile suburbs. It hay serviced deep-drop toilets."

This is a really quiet camp compared with camp Blackman. It’s got a very down to earth feel without many facilities. It’s easy enough to drive to camp Blackman for showers and washing up.

Quiet spot on the creek. Great bush walks direct from the camp ground into the National Park

Awsome camping ground. Waking up and finishing each day in the shadow of split rock was really special. We had the place to ourselves (except for the roos).

Camp Wambelong
Beautiful camp area, stinky drop toilets and no water but the camp location next to the creek makes it worthwhile. Quiet and beautiful and great location for hiking.

Camp Wambelong
Conveniently located camping ground along the (usually dry) Wambelong Creek and relatively quiet John Renshaw Parkway. Nearby walking and MTB bike fire trails. Could be a little too open and dusty during summer, but OK during cooler months. Basic facilities only, no showers.

Camp Wambelong
Too crowded, especially with Covid and only 2 loos. Large groups on the weekend. No showers, so some bathing in the creek. Frogs and taddies and soap.
