Velvet Mane is the only salon I trust to maintain and colour my hair, Sarah, Madi and the girls take such wonderful care of me, I’ve been going there for years!I have the most beautiful and healthy blonde hair I’ve ever had thanks to them and their recommendations!I can’t rate highly enough! Xo

Worst blonde I’ve ever had, my hair is still recovering from my visit here months later. The hair dresser completely fried my hair, leaving it very damaged and snapping off! I left with my hair looking and feeling like straw. I’ve had foils done for years and never had such damaged hair or experienced breakage like I had walking out of this salon. The foils on my part line were also uneven and it looked like I had regrowth. The hairdresser felt very inexperienced.The other girls working were also gossiping and swearing loudly the whole time, it was really not enjoyable.Do not recommend this salon if you are getting blonde.

Best bunch of ladies around! The salon itself is so beautiful and so so funky!! Plus the incredible service! My girl Peta gets my hair looking incredible every damn time!! Love love love!

Hey Guys,Just a quick message to say that the hairstyle that Peta did for me for the wedding I attended on the weekend was a big hit.I had strangers comment on it in Woolworths, friends compliment me and say how much they loved it and even wait staff and people walking by compliment on it or ask me where I got my hair done.I am always stoked with my hair when I walk away from an appointment with Peta and my hair health is improving each visit.Not only that but the vibe in the space is always fun. I always walk away relaxed happy and having had a laugh with Peta.People are so quick to winge these days. I thought I would take the time to write something bloody nice.X

Firstly this salon has major 'Mean Girls' 'Girl Gang' vibes Its been 3 months since my experience at Velvet Mane and I'm only just now able to speak of my experience without feeling triggered. This was my second visit and a different girl than the first was doing my colour due to sickness. My consultation was clear and concise and I had asked her to follow the previous colour I had there(with a minor tweak of the copper tones) which was great! When I sat in the chair to dry off, my colour was purple and very dark, immediately the girl and myself knew something had gone wrong. Instead of owning it they blamed the other hairdressers previous notes as well as my communication, it felt very Gaslit and they were very rude and defensive about it all (I have reciepts!)They assured me everything was fine and that they could fix it. I was there for 5 hours they didn't tell me they were stripping the colour from my hair! I walked out with dull faded hair close to what I walked in with. My hair was FRIED the breakage after this visit has left me traumatised to go back to another salon. When I questioned why I was charged the same price as the previous visit(in a very diplomatic way)even though this time I didn't receive a haircut, they proceeded to tell me they charge the same amount for a blow-dry as a blow-dry and cut because it takes the same amount of time(again I have reciepts) This salon made me feel small and incredibly insecure and that my voice didn't deserve to be heard, they gaslight me into feeling like it was my fault. Its a beautiful salon that a lot of beautiful hair comes out of but just remember It's not the mistakes we make but how we correct them that define us" The salons actions and words have left a lasting affect on my confidence."

I’ve been coming to Velvet Mane for about 4 years now and these girls can do no wrong! I’ve had Raegan, Peta & Sarah all do my hair and they nail it every time. Thanks girls for always looking after me, providing the hilarious banter & overall good vibes! xx

I got literally the best haircut of my LIFE from Peta here a few months ago. My hair grows fast and yet I am still getting compliments. Peta gave me the choppy wispy fringe of my dreams that other hairdressers had always said my hair was too fine for, it sits perfectly on it's own and has made me feel amazing. She completely fixed a dodgy haircut I was given in Brisbane, listened to what went wrong with my last cut, stopped and took the time to explain what she was doing and ask how I felt every time she started doing something new and my hair is next level because of it. The other girls there were really lovely, simple lovely modern interior, paid $90 which is a great in my opinion, considering I have paid $130+ and left hairdressers trying to hide tears! I will be making the trip up from Brisbane every time I need my locks chopped now.

Trust me! You wont be disappointed. After hearing from 3 or 4 really good friends that they are so glad they found VM I had to jump on board and see for myself! Just over one year I have been a VM client and drive up from Brisbane to see Sarah and the team!I always feel welcomed and comfortable and love my hair more than I’ve ever done before! Not to mention my hair is in better condition and the health of the hair is a priority for them. I never feel rushed in or out and the studio has a fun, relaxing vibe! Do yourself a favour and see one of these angels xx

I love this business, these ladies are beyond incredible at what they do. Could not recommend this place enough, do your hair a favour, especially for low maintenance blonde!
