Hotel Pension Grimus

Overall it was a great experience staying over. Very clean rooms, and good food. I think their staff in the ski gear hiring can improve their communication skills though. They are not patient specially to beginners. I felt like they didn't even listen to what I wanted to say. They just want to service as fast as possible. In fact, if I wanted to recommend something that could be improved is staff hospitality. Also, quite strange that the bar and restaurant is only open for breakfast and then only after 4pm.

Staff were friendly and everything was up to standard! Rental store is connected and equipment is clean and well fitted. The ski storage rooms were adequate and everything is conveniently located (you can ski in and out of the hotel!) 10/10 would stay again.P.S - Shout out to D O G, best dog ever!

Unsure why this place is a ‘3 star’, we recently stayed and absolutely ADORED it!The customer service in the hotel, restaurant and ski hire underneath was amazing! You could ski back to the chalet if you wanted! The rooms are fresh and cosy and the spa bath in the bathrooms really make it at the end of a day on the slopes!It’s close to everything you need and we really enjoyed our stay! Would highly recommend!

The best at Bulla!!What an amazing location, crew and set of facilities. Everything you need under one roof. A taste of Europe a few hours drive from Melbourne and the best experience you could ask for on the mountain. Thank you for such a pleasurable experience can’t wait to be back next time! Ps don’t forget to try the desert at the restaurant - yummy!!

Nice Staff. Easy ski hire. Warm room.

The restaurant is easily the best on the mountain. Gemutlicht and welcoming. Unfortunately their signature schnitzel now comes with non authentic potato mash. Hans knew it better. Yet, the restaurant still deserves 5 stars

The location is excellent, apart from one thing. You can hear the snow machines ploughing the mountains all night and it doesn't really allow you to get a decent nights sleep. When skiing all day you do really long for a nice sleep to rest and recover. However apart from this everything else was great.

Pension Grimus is a perfectly located hotel at Mt Buller. The hotel is meters away from the Mercedes Benz chair lift and from the ski school/ticket office. This convenience is enhanced by the fact that the hotel contains ski lockers and a drying room. Additionally, you can hire ski equipment from the Grimus Ski Centre on the ground floor at reasonable prices (including at a discount for those staying at the hotel). The convenience is amazing.The actual hotel is beautifully decorated and transports you to Austria. The restaurant, while pricey and has limited options, provides great food - the eye fillet was one of the best I've ever had. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.My only gripe is how hot it is in the hotel common areas. It is way too hot. This may have been an issue over just the opening weekend and certainly doesn't detract from the overall experience.

We visited this place during July school holidays, predominantly we went to the ski hire shop which we had bad experience due to their staff shortage and the person was trying his best to help us. It was one of the worst experience we had in Mount buller they wouldn't care the feedback and only excuse they had was short staff on that day.

The location of this hotel is gold, skip the crowd and start straight from the Ski school chair lift where there is often nicer, with less people even during school holidaysI didn't stay here, only had a quick coffee and croissants between rides.
