BODA Hair Boutique Moonee Ponds

Late last year I visited the salon after my current hairdresser moved further away. I thought it was probably time I found someone closer to home. I understand it can be hard to find someone who is experienced with creating and maintaining a beautiful blonde through foils. I purposefully booked with an Advanced stylist to hopefully lessen the chance of any issues. The stylist was super lovely and asked lots of questions about what I wanted and my at home routine. When she had finished, my hair looked really lovely and I was happy given I had my sons 1st birthday coming up!The next day, I went to put my hair up and noticed the underneath was quite orange and streaky. I took photos and then washed my hair in the hopes my usual toner would help. My toner didn’t help but it sure did make my roots look horrendous and really orange/copper.I unfortunately had to attend my sons birthday party with a colour I wasn’t happy with. I emailed the salon and shared my issues. They invited me back in to rectify and I again advised what I was wanting as the end result. I left the salon with a much better result but as soon as I washed my hair, out comes the horrendous copper roots.I ended up driving an hour to return to my old hairdresser to have her fix what she could. I have always had a beautiful ash blonde blended amongst my natural brown. Now I have a copper band I’m trying to grow out and foil out over time. I’m so disappointed. It will now take me a year plus to hopefully get back to my ideal blonde. Looking back, I don’t feel the stylist really listened to my at home routine and what my end goal was. I appreciate giving them the opportunity to fix their issues and it’s not about money but also time. Sitting in a salon for hours takes away from my time with my family.Edited to respond:I wrote back to Alex’s email a few weeks post her following up and had no response since that email. To be honest, I didn’t feel there was much you could have done to rectify again after already explaining.

Absolutely adore Melissa and the girls at BODA Moonee Ponds !! Melissa is the sweetest girl and is so knowledgeable with her work, and shares her honest opinions on what she thinks will suit your hair best. Her work is always top tier and the results are always so fabulous, and my experiences with her have always been so positive. The salon itself is such a vibe and the girls made me feel so comfortable and are so so lovely !! Would highly recommend BODA and the girls, wouldn’t want to go anywhere else xx

Gabrielle is amazing! Not only did she absolutely nail the bouncy blowdry, but the level of service she offered to make sure I was comfortable was on another level! So rare to find these days. I will definitely be back x

My first experience at Boda today was amazing! I’ve been trying to go a nice bright blonde for about 3 years now and Elias exceeded my expectations. I can’t remember the last time I walked out of a hair salon that happy!! He sat down with me at the beginning of the service and thoroughly went through everything he was going to do. I’m not going to lie, I was super nervous to begin with as I’m fussy with my hair and have had a few bad experiences in the past! But after seeing him take his time to perfect everything my nerves went away. He is an absolute gem!!! I have such a beautiful bright blonde now! Not to mention, he is a wizard with those scissors!!! I could not recommend Elias enough!! He will definitely be my go to from now on!Also, just to add. All the staff at Boda are so welcoming and friendly. The vibe of the salon is amazing ❤️

I am the mum of the manager/ director off Boda Celeste. My daughter has done by hair ever since she has started her career in hairdressing as a colourist.My hair not because she is my daughter but has never looked better. I am keen always trying new colours as it’s good experience for Celeste. She has become such a magnificent amazing colourist.She’s also becoming well known in the industry. Celeste has grown and learnt so much. I really hope one day that she’s will also become a partner in Boda and see her career to become established. Proud mum to a daughter who has come such a long way!!!!I highly recommend Celeste who is looking for a colourist.Also the other hairdressers in the salon are all very good at what they do and are passionate about hair!!

Rachel is super fantastic! I LOVE my new hair, she gave exactly what I wanted. The salon has a great vibe, super comfortable and all of the girls are lovely. Will absolutely be getting my hair done here from now on! Thank you Rachel you are incredible :)
