I did not have a positive experience with Susan Hamilton-Green. After countless hours of sit-down mediation and thousands of dollars spent on Susan's approach, I was unable to achieve a single desired outcome from my ex-wife, although I had agreed to everything she asked for. I left the process in despair with no agreed access time to my children - despite having never been anything but a loving and devoted father.Susan was in no way proactive in informing my ex wife (or myself) of my rights. Susan lacked insight into our situation and assertiveness when it was desperately needed. When my ex-wife attacked me verbally or refused to discuss access to the children, Susan told me that I had to 'allow her to be angry' and that nothing could be done. Susan at no stage ever explained to my ex that she was required to give me some access and that a 50/50 access split is typical (things I have learned since). Surely this is the role of a mediator!Ironically our situation moved forward far more rapidly when my ex-wife commissioned a lawyer, who was the first to explain my parenting rights to her.After all this Susan would not issue me with a certificate for the Court confirming we had attempted mediation, since it had been over twelve months since our last session (time spent negotiating with my ex wife's lawyer). At no point did Susan ever inform us that we would need a certificate if the matter proceeded to Court, even though we left her offices with our issues unresolved.Overall I found Susan a pleasant and well-intentioned lady, but she did absolutely nothing to defend my basic rights as a father, enabled my ex-wife to control the entire agenda, and effectively prevented my kids from having stability and security for another twelve months. I was extremely disappointed with the outcomes from this process and would not recommend it, especially if you are dealing with an ex-spouse who is uncompromising or in any way manipulative. You will just get taken for another ride, suffer great cost and emotional frustration and make no progress.

Susan and her amazing team have been absolutely wonderful. Their empathetic and supportive approach gave me confidence and a sense of security in an otherwise tumultuous and very difficult time. I recommend them to anyone needing firm and unwavering guidance in their family law matters. It's a privilege to work with you all.

Incredibly disappointing, no due dilligence, lured me into wasting alot of time and money even though I had warned them that the other party was not interested in mediation. I feel like they shoule have done alot more to ensure the other party was interested in mediation rather than just a glib oh yes". I believe I was lured into a wasteful process for the sake of the profitability of the business."

I also have not had a positive experience with Susan Hamilton-Green.Despite numerous emails back and forth between myself and SHG's team, they have yet to deliver completed documentation related to the second set of mediation discussions between my ex partner and myself, despite aggressively following up over the course of the last year on invoices for these services. To be clear here, I have refused to complete payment to her team due to the outstanding items on her invoices to me.I was also promised a certificate of mediation. No such document has yet to eventuate.As a result of SHGs failure to adequately document, in particular, the second set of discussions, to date, I would say that the most important part of our dispute discussions, access to my children, remains completely unresolved.I raised several clarifications, and points of error in the documents SHG initially issued to me. SHG failed to update these documents. As a result, I have no agreed version of a parenting plan that I feel I can refer to in discussions with the girl's mother when we enter into discussions around care for the girls.When I followed up by phone, I would be told that my concerns would be dealt with by one of her team. Months later, I am still waiting.for these documents.I would not recommend SHG services.
