Freedom - Cairns

The team went above and beyond to help me arrange furniture for my new place. Appreciate it!

I purchased the IMU Airmchair (not dining chair) in April 2022 after sitting in it and testing it out in store for a several minutes, it appeared to be good and looked good.It was on order from the warehouse and was delivered to schedule. However, the chair was infact the most uncomfortable chair I've sat in for many years. The seat of the chair is very poor quality and in fact quite dangerous and has been thrown into a skip bin. It was a total waste of $350 plus delivery charges. It needs to have a properly constructed seat base and seat cushioning.

Used to love the Cairns Store, but it has gone downhill in customer service in the last couple of months. Store looks better just needs a staff revamp :)

I purchased a expansive outdoor setting, the chairs where available for pick up straight away which we took and told as written on the paperwork one two to three weeks for the table so i agreed to the purchase. Originally I wanted the white tip but that was going to take to long due to supply ussue in which being a manager myself completely understand. Now when I agreed to this purchase I repeatedly asked which colour was available sooner and as the sales person looked at her inventory a couple of different ways told me that Brisbane depo have 8 coming in for distribution and that the wait would be one to three weeks then today after two week have passed I decided to ring the store to be told I would have to wait till the end of June or do a refund for the table and what be stuck with four chairs that isn't going to match. Be warned if you are purchasing something to be told you will get it within a certain time frame ensure they are not just yelling you this to make a sale ask to see the inventory and wait time on the computer before you purchase.

It used to be a please shopping at the CAIRNSFreedom store with Jenny and Meghan.They have a new “store manager“ who is blatantly rude and has the managerial skills of a 12 year old. She admits herself that everything is new to her but how can you manage a store without knowing what you’re talking about.I don’t want to speak to 12 year old store managers, I’d much prefer the amazing skills of Meghan who has the maturity and skills needed to run a business, but who has sadly left.A big shout out to the Wonderful Jenny who makes each visit to the store, a great experience.I would very much like feedback from FREEDOM in Sydney please.Kind regards,Julie Shariff

I’ve had better experiences in the past with Jared, Sam or Jenny.I spoke to a lady named Tamika? She was so rude and insincere.I was enquiring about a Loft sofa and it seemed like she had no knowledge of any of the products, I was simply asking about leather wear and tear and if it was good for pets/kids. And I was just told to search it on the Freedom Website. Which didn’t really help :( don’t think I’ll be shopping at Freedom Cairns anytime soon

This review is for the Cairns store. Went in to look for furniture and was assisted by Jake on Tuesday 28/2 and other staff who were working that day. They were great! They gave great advice, chatted to my cousins and I when we were trying the furniture and were very hospitable with us.Went into to pay the remaining balance of my deposit on Wednesday 1/3 and unfortunately was met by Jenny and another lady at the desk (whose name starts with L) and their customer service was absolutely appalling! Rude and arrogant to say the least!Jake and all the other staff who were on the day before I would give them a 10/10 for customer service. For Jenny and the lady who worked on the Wednesday, my recommendation is avoid talking to them if you can.

I have bought many items at Freedom over the years but my experience with two Dockland sofas was terrible. Two weeks after I bought them they went on sale at half price. By which time I knew why. They were very uncomfortable with lumpy filling and, worst of all, the couches were so cheaply made that the fabric of the couches did not extend to the back of the cushions. So no hope of turning cushions over. I had not thought to turn over the cushions when I bought the couches as I had never heard of such a thing as fabric on one side only. I won't be going back to Freedom.

The staff are so rude and unhelpful - we enquired about Christmas products that are on special both online and in Brisbane stores and they flat out refused to believe there was a special on even after another customer said that there was and even after being shown pictures and online evidence. They didn’t offer to contact their manager or do a price check. Extremely unhelpful and very rude through the whole process. They caused a loss of sale for their business through their rudeness.

I walked in to this lovely store. But I don't like being pounced on in the first 5 seconds then to be followed in to the area I was looking at telling me there was 20% off when there are huge signs everywhere stating it. Also noticed how much expensive it had become there.
