SFG -Sydney Fencing&Gates

These guys do a great job and fast!. I had a lap and cap timber fence with steel posts installed and it looks great and is solid as a rock. Quality materials and workmanship and great service from James. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either but worth every cent. The amazing thing was the job was completed in one day. Great team of friendly and helpful tradesmen (and women). Go easy on the Red Bull fellas!

Slow to quote but James is very helpful and I didn't feel that he was just trying to gain a sale. Very happy with end product and installation process. Office communication needs improving - poor response to phone calls and emails.

Peter and the team at SFG did a fantastic job on our driveway gate. Due to the shape of our driveway road and the incline every other gate company I spoke to said it couldn't be done without ripping up all our landscaping and costing a fortune. Peter came up with a very creative solution that didn't touch the landscaping.He was very reasonably priced, polite and professional. I highly recommend SFG!

Very indifferent response to my request for a quote. Said they could not do one for 3 weeks! Sounds like they don't care for new business. Happy to hand my money to another outfit. Very underwhelming.

Not flexible to client. Only catered to suit their needs. Organised a time to inspect. Didn't turn up at scheduled time and didn't call and kept waiting for 1-2 hours. Called after and said they were too busy and didn't apologise for keeping us waiting on site as we don't live on the premises. Unprofessional and poor attitude. Taking business elsewhere.

We’ve been renovating the house for just on 10 years and each year I’ve dealt with between five and eight contractors, not counting the ones I’ve approached for quotes or advice and suggestions. The broad majority of those experiences have been difficult and tiresome, with varying results.The SFG team have been amazing. I’ve had clear, concise communication as regular intervals. ALL of my 17 different questions have been answered, sometimes twice or three times and nobody has made me or my family feel silly for asking. SFG were patient, kind, understanding plus incredibly polite and professional in all of our interactions. Considering we started this conversation a year ago with the first quote and only had the gates installed in September 2020, that is saying a lot. Everyone was on time and everything was delivered and installed as and when we were told it would be. I don’t know if you can appreciate how rare that is, but with my extensive experience liaising with contractors over the last decade, I think I’m well placed to say, it’s not the norm with builders / contractors and I’ve never been more pleasantly surprised.I wanted to take the time to ensure the SFG team truly understand how rare the quality of your service is. Our gates and fence look amazing, so the products and fulfilment of our needs was also brilliant. We had two side gates installed and a front automatic fence and gate.Happy to recommend James, Ross, Ria and the team for their service, products and professionalism.

Although they took time to give a quote, when they delivered, they really delivered! After talking to several people who said they couldn't do what I was asking for, James promised and delivered exactly that in HALF A DAY's work. It's been a couple of months since my fence and gate went up, and it's all perfect.

The end result is very nice, well done and looks good. The on-site visit to discuss our wishes was nice and easy. The installation was quick, but they had to come twice, because the first time they had the wrong colour (this was fixed without hassle). It took a few weeks between quote and installation because of the large volume of work, but we were made aware of that in advance.

Installation was delayed. The gate is fine, but customers should be aware of their “no responsibility for damage to electrical cabling” clause. They completely severed our electrical conduit during installation of the gate. This required an electrician to run new cabling to repair it. They refused to cover the cost of this despite causing the damage.The automation person who installs the motors for the gates was great though.
