Gasworks Arts Park

I really like going to the farmers market, the park is also spacious that is suitable for dog walking and some outdoor activities, also a plus that it is pretty close to the beach

The venue itself was great, but once you’re paid up and your function is over, the façade (by Gasworks) of a reputable organisation quickly dissolves. I hired one of their theatres for some auditions and was required to pay a $250 refundable bond. That’s fine. The function ran smoothly and without issue. There was absolutely nothing that could have impacted any concern about refunding the bond in full. Two days later, I wrote Gasworks an email, thanking them and awaiting the return of the bond. Happy to give it a couple of days. Having heard nothing from them for 4 days, they finally emailed saying that the bond would be refunded “shortly”. Great. That means the day after or, at the latest, the day after that. I heard nothing from them for the next 7 days, until sending them a strongly-worded email requesting my bond back. The following day – just a coincidence, of course – I’m informed that they’ve only now just processed the bond (some 12 days after the hire date), but that I would need to wait ANOTHER WHOLE WEEK before I was to receive my bond, despite it being a simple electronic transfer. What an absolute joke! Nice venue but the administration staff at Gasworks don’t give a stuff about you once you’ve used their venue. No communication. And when they do, they lie to you and tell you, “Sure, your money will be returned to you shortly” knowing it’s still weeks away before they can be bothered even thinking about returning YOUR money. What an outrage! Will never use the Gasworks facilities again and will encourage all other filmmakers in this state to steer well clear of these people.

Well established local Cafe, friendly staff, good reasonably priced food. Very good coffee excellent barista. Dog friendly.

Gasworks Farmer's Market, 3rd Saturday of the month. If you have not experienced this Farmer's Market, you don't know what you are missing out on. The Farmers bring their goods to us, so we can enjoy the best they have to offer. Give it a go you won't be disappointed, just remember to take a carry bag or 2 these markets are plastic free.

We usually attend the farmers market once a month. Great location for the market. During the summer it’s pristine but a bit harder to walk on the Otha in winter when it rains.Nice cafe with decent food options. Public toilet is a bit hard to find. Big park attached which is usually filled with dogs off the lead and dog training schools on weekends. Not a playground for kids worth mentioning. But all in all a good place to grab some local fresh veg

This is a great park to spend time in. Lots of open green space with some lovely big trees for shade. There are sculptures hidden all over and there are plenty of benches for resting on while you explore. Lots of wholesome time can be spent watching dogs play or enjoying the rustle of the leaves. There is also a lovely cafe and some artist's studios to see.

Large open space with a lovely cafe nearby. We run our monthly maker sessions at the cafe. There's also a very active arts collective run by a not for profit. Definitely worth checking out.

Perfect place for shows. Family friendly and great seating

The farmer's markets here are terrific. Good variety and selection of seasonal produce as well as some surprise goodies. Good options and huge open space for kids and dogs alike.
