Bayview Motor Inn

We arrived into Eden, thinking we wouldn't have a problem finding accommodation but for some reason the town was booked out, we were lucky to stop in here and ask about availability and they had just had a cancellation. So glad we stopped in here as the room was very well set out, the beds were comfortable. The whole place was quite and peaceful. Very helpful staff.

The manager Costa and his wife were very kind to us after we had some issues with a booking site. The rooms were simple, quite comfortable, the cheapest we could find and a lovely open view of the bay out the back.Great value, wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice polite and prompt welcome from hosts. Room was a bit dated and noise from road was annoying. View was fantastic and courtesy bus from golf club and back was great.

The motel is in a beaut location. Our host, Costa, greeted us warmly. From our room, which was very spacious,we had an outstanding view of Twofold Bay. What's not to love.

Easter Saturday 2022. New management of 1 week.Teething problems. Host very helpful.Allocated room was small but clean, new bathroom finished the day we arrived. Few issues getting water to the new shower, and TV had to be changed as no remote was found. The room needed updated blinds/ curtains as existing are not adequate for privacy or sleeping!!We felt in its present condition it was overpriced. View is lovely.

Room was clean, sheets were crisp cotton and water was hot at 10.30pm for my shower. There is no breakfast menu anymore.... but you can buy supplies from the Coles supermarket a few kms down the road. Traffic noise was okay.

Unbelievably bad and unsafe. The smell upon opening the door instantly had my hand to my nose it was so bad (musty smell). SMOKE DETECTOR HAD BEEN REMOVED. The one window in the room didn't open. The handles on the bedside table drawers on both sides had been removed so couldn't open bedside table drawers ?? Bedside lights on both sides did not work and one fluorescent tube had been removed with wires exposed. The kitchenette had a microwave but nothing else. No sink or taps so if we stayed we would need to fill the kettle from the bathroom. The balcony" was a shared concrete terrace that ran the length of the property with empty beer bottle and coke cans strewn around. No view except into the back of the yard. The tub chairs in the room I wouldn't sit on they I think were originally brown but now black with dirt. Reception did NOT have a visible COVID check-in nor ask me to check in. I found the QR code under a stack of brochures to check-in. The only good thing I can say is that when I went back to reception the manager came into the room and agreed with me and promptly refunded our money and in addition called another motel in the area to find us a room which was better (but still had issues with no bulbs in lights and hair dryer missing and extractor fan not working in bathroom). How hard can it be to check the rooms you are offering paying customers that they have the basics !?? ... a really bad experience

Be extremely careful!!! If you reserve a room at this motel, there is a greater risk that the owner would move you to his budget motel in Merimbula.I wanted to spend one night in Eden on my way back to Victoria. So I reserved a room in this motel for $209 for one night. The owner of this motel rang me two hours before we were supposed to check in and asked us to go to his other motel in Merimbula. I agreed with him because I was driving when he called, assuming he is a genuine man.Later, when I checked into his Merimbula Gardens motel in Merimbula, I noticed that he had switched our reservation from a $209 room to a $105 non-AC room. We requested that they not charge $209 for the non-air conditioned room. They were extremely rude and charged us $209 for that room.Another terrible thing is that there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom/toilet and the smoke alarm does not work. The room's condition was disgusting.This motel's management was just appalling. They ruined our vacation. They put us in an uncomfortable situation because there weren't any other motels available around at that time. Please use caution when booking this motel.

Great value. Clean & comfortable. We greatly appreciated the little extras like a washing up bowl and dishwashing liquid. Thank you.
