Australia Post - Fairfield Gardens LPO

Will charge for authorising documents when the post office next door in Annerley does it for free. I don't understand why a 30 second job should cost $2 when that is an expected service you provide as a post office. JPs don't charge either.

Please ignore my earlier review. This post office has changed hands. Might be a transitional settling in period but not as helpful as before.

The couple that run this store are great people, the service is great, the store is always tidy and in stock of all the things you'd need to post an item. 100% recommend

I rang asking for a tracking number due to my mum not getting given a receipt when she was in yesterday (2/4/2020). I got told that’s not something they can do, they stood by that until I said I used to work for the Aus Post call Centre and knew very well it was something they could do and then what you you know, all of a sudden they could look. After about 2 minutes, I got told they can’t do it because there’s a queue and that I should have asked for a receipt even though I’d already been told they always give receipts and then got told to call back or call the call Centre (which you can’t get through too at the moment which is why I called the store) and hung up on. Very poor service and very unfriendly guy.

I have very terrible experience with post man delivering the post at Home few weeks before. I ordered cabin air filter from Ebay. The parcel should be delivered at door but postman leave it mailbox. The parcel was damaged because he pressed it too much to fit into the mailbox. I think it is not ethical to leave the thing in mailbox or damage them. If you are in hurry why not you leave it at outside it. Ethically we suppose all the parcel should be delivered at door.

Service is matter of fact rather than friendly but always informed and efficient.

My partner was waiting on an important parcel. The staff at Fairfield post office went absolutely above and beyond in trying to help him with this. We can't praise the staff enough. We heavily appreciate the kindness shown. Thank you

Good points are that this is an easy access Post Office. There is always parking and it's never very busy. Main staff are to the point. Couldn't say they are very friendly, but they are ok. There is a young man who works there who behaves rather like a robot, but one who has little interest in serving people or being helpful. He seems to be quite pleased with himself when given the opportunity to not be helpful, or to deny a customer's request. Rather nasty vibe. I feel customer service isn't his strong point and he may be better off going into another field of employment. One Star.

I filled out the paperwork to access ATO records in September 2022. It is only supposed to take one month. It is now June 2023 and I still don't have them. When I went in, the person responsible was out and I had to wait 20 minutes for her to return. The ATO also tells me that the person responsible did not submit all the documents I gave them. Very disappointing experience.

I just wanted to buy a prestamped envelope to post 3 (A4) Sheets of Paper. Instead of giving me a standard size envelope, the lady at the counter tried to sell me an envelope the size of a A4 sheet of paper. Hence one can fold the sheets of paper, I said. Then when I corrected her to give me a standard size envelope she wasn't happy. Then I asked for a 50 cent piroity stamp as well. Paid for it. Then addressed envolope and handed back to her 5 minutes latter. An elderly gent stood beside her at all times, checking. My letter took 14 days to arrive to the address (PO. BOX) just 8 kilometres away. For some reason it got held up in the post. I wonder where? It should have got there the next day or at the latest the following day after the next. Basically not a good experience.
