Anthony from Soccer Joeys Bondi broke my son’s heart cancelling his party after it had already begun (offering to do it the following week after people had already started arriving?!). The party started at 1pm, Anthony was supposed to arrive at 1.45pm. Between 1.09-1.19pm (after the party started when I was trying to entertain 20 kids!) he called me 5 times, then sent a text saying that because I had not answered my phone during that 10 minute period he would be cancelling a party I had reconfirmed with him on Thursday night and had said would go ahead rain or shine. We had discussed in detail the wet weather plan in my garage and undercover area. When I begged him to still come 20 minutes later – he cited heavy traffic and said there was no way he could get there and keep his other commitments – so it sounds as if he was double booked. My son was heartbroken, letting down all his mates down who had been looking forward to fun soccer games. It was callous and cruel. My heart broke for him. There are so many other soccer providers around Bondi – Goal, Kickeroos, Elite – stay away from this callous, unorganised an unprofessional one.
