Kaneira Hotel

Used the free camp facility for the caravan and had the pizza and a few beers. It's a pleasant stopover.

I stayed overnight in their free camping area. I pulled up late evening and was greeted by Marty, who was very warm and welcoming. He took he around and showed me all the facilities. Great bloke. Free toast and coffee in the morning was perfect. I highly recommend this place if you are passing through whether it's camping, hotel room, or just a few cold ones. Great atmosphere.

Loved our stay at Kaneira. Stopped off for a night on our way back from Renmark to Melbourne. Very friendly management, reasonable rates. Good good and great fun drinking and playing pool in the bar, lively with locals and other travellers

Definitely a place to stay whether you're staying in the pub or sleeping in the free camp area next door. The owners are very lovely and welcoming, we would stay again. Ps they have baby goat very cute.

Great place to pull in with the caravan overnight. Goats and chickens in the paddock next door kept the little one entertained, well priced kids meals ($10.50) and pub meals ($18-29). Had a lovey (and massive) pizza. Great hosts with a friendly vibe. Shower and toilet facilities are free to use for campers and they are excellent. Highly recommended as an overnight stay

Recently my wife Maggie and I took advantage of free camping behind this delightful pub. The free camp also hasaccess to toilet and shower facilities. We were met at the gate by Leigh who simply suggested we park any where that suited us on this tidy well grassed area. The camp area has direct access to the pub and all it can provide. The husband and wife 'team' of Marty and Leigh are wonderful hosts.This classic country pub has accommodation as well as a dining room and a memorable bar where you're bound to meet a few locals. A few drinks in a super relaxed atmosphere gave us time to consider the extensive menu. While Marty kept us entertained in the bar Leigh 'whipped' up two delicious meals which were far beyond our expectation. After a very comfy night in the camp area and buying some gorgeous eggs provided by the pubs resident chooks, we headed off into the Mallee. It was so good we did it all again one week later on our return trip home. Culgoa is a quiet, delightful tiny Mallee town with a great pub, a marvelous general store and just far enough off the Calder Highway to avoid any traffic noise. When (not if) you drop into the pub don't forget to 'pick up some eggs'.Pete Matheson

A real country welcome! What a lovely, friendly place. Pub meal was delicious, home cooked and good selection of wine and beer. Accommodation comfortable and clean. We wanted a place to stay between Mildura and Melbourne and we were glad to find this little gem.

Great sense of hospitality and friendly peoples. Appreciate their effort to make our stay pleasant. We stayed there otw for Lake Tyrrell.

My partner and I took the opportunity to park our motorhome at the Hotel's camping area for an overnight stay. We were entertained by the antics of the goats and chooks in the Pub's backyard before going to the bar and enjoying a great evening with a couple of drinks & meeting & sharing stories with fellow campers. The atmosphere was great! Marty is a great, fun publican and cudos to Leigh for the best pizza we have had in a long time (Culgoa special), we devoured it! Our decision to stay in this small country town was a random one, which turned out to be fabulous! Thoroughly recommend an overnight stay in either the camping area or in the hotel itself. Marty & Leigh are great hosts!
