The person who does rego inspections has no idea on what he is looking at or what the rules are, makes things up once questioned on on the rules he thinks he has knowledge on. If you want quality service and repairs then go else where.

Excellent at their Profession very good people to deal with have been with Austech for a little while now looking after my two vehicles can't beat their hospitality and Professionalism. Highly recommend.

If i could rate them zero i would, i brought a trailer in for a re-inspection to only to have them to refuse to look at it because apparently my car isnt capable of towing the trailer. Mind you my car is a Ute with a tow weight of 2.5t and the trailer is only 2t and they previously looked at the trailer which was hooked on to the same car but apparently that car is now not allowed to tow it. I don't know how one day it's fine but than the next day it's not allowed even when the car is 100% capable of towing it. I would not recommend this place.

They called up asking for deposit, to which I asked if they can show a sample report. They said they can send it after I pay a deposit (In which country in the world does that still happen?!) It sounded a little iffy so I asked if the deposit is refundable if I didn't think their report was what I was looking for. He says hold on and he'll check, and then hung up! So yes, stay away is my advice.

If I could rate them zero I would too, like the others in the review. Called them for a simple rego inspection, was quoted $300 for a home visit few weeks ago. The tradesman turned up on Sunday morning without my confirmation, then charged me $75. Came back on Monday morning, charged another $75 call out fee. Then said my car needed full inspection service, asking for $1000. I felt like I had no choice as I needed the rego done to drive my car, then he asked for $500 deposit with my credit card. Promised to come back next day to complete the job with $500 remaining balance. I didn't feel right but he said I couldn't get the pink slip if I don't go with full service. That night my friend told me to ask him for an itemized full service invoice, he refused to come back and told me to call Austech. Next day I called, texted, emailed Austech many times and no one replied. They just simply charged me $650 without doing anything with my car. I then took my car to the nearby car repairer, costed me $42 for the rego inspection and I was told my car is in good condition! I have disputed the charges with my card provider but since the $650 has gone through to Austech, it will take up to 60 days for the investigation and refund... My card provider also suggests to contact Fair Trading. Worst company I have ever come across. No response since then even I contact them every other days! $650 would have been better used for charity then being cheated by this company!

I took my hilux 2003 there for my brakes to get redon they done the job and quoted me $1700 for all 4 i could have done the same job my self for no more then $400

Heavily over priced. Partner took trailer in with electric brake issue. Partner supplied parts which included complete hub and new magnet, and was quoted $700 for labour. Partner went and retrieved trailer and was charged $264 for 2 hours labour for no repairs.
