City Centre Accommodation

It's not fancy but it's cheap... Rooms are small but clean.. limited ventilation and no AC.... Couple of guests smoking indoors made for a unpleasant experience.. Shared bathroom and facilities.. does have a ghostly atmosphere...

Place was disgusting and nothing like pictured online, Asian owner was super creepy and the room was disgusting. Please stay well aware from this awful establishment if you value your health and well being.

Tidy but just the basics.

It was nice and Clean

Historically the building is amazing, having been built in the 1800’ds. Cheap accommodation though which is reflected by the very basic conveniences but even then there are some basic issues. The room I rented had stains in the base sheet and though while generally clean the bedding had almost zero support, sinking to the floor. The pillows also were thin and empty. There was one power outlet, which was covered by the bed, so the bed had to be pulled out at an angle if I was to use it. The glass supplied in the room was not clean enough to feel comfortable drinking from. The walls were not adequate to dampen the sound of heavy snorers and other activities. Generally the showers were clean as were the toilets. Kitchen freezer was disgusting. Secure doors for individual rooms and front door, and cameras present. Rooms are not well ventilated and no aircon. An old but functional small blower/heater fan was provided and window could be opened but no power board so it was one electrical item at a time. Although the owner is friendly and hard working, on the first night after a 10 hour drive the owner at 09:45pm did not lower her voice when introducing a late guest. That said there is little that can be done about the squeaky floorboards. On the second night a car alarm went off and I went to check on my vehicle, only to be insulted by drunk patrons at the pub across the road for little reason other than my brief presence. This is accommodation for when you absolutely need somewhere and all other accommodation is taken.

This hotel was half the price of any hotel around. Found out it was half a room. Shared bathroom, shared toilet. Great for a quick stop over when you're travelling interstate but not recommended for a holiday.
