Factory Direct Shutters, Awnings & Blinds

Customer service is appalling, was told in an email we would be called when our shutters had arrived so we could lock in a date for them to be installed, never received that call I had to follow up numerous times. After weeks later they were finally installed half of them look great on 1 window and on the remaining window we were not satisfied and there are issues that need fixing! Have called up explaining the issue, was told that the installer manager or who would look into it and get back to me, waited a week and a half with no response so again I had to follow up. Alison the receptionist advised me the the manager was not available and he would call me back. SURPRISE!!! 5 days later and still no call back! So once again I have called up for lovely Alison to say “I don’t know why he would be calling you?” When she’s the one who I spoke with and told me that he would give a call back!! I was then advised to email the Gold Coast team with pictures of the issue to which I did. 2 days later no reply or anything! When we have called to check if our email received and asked why there was no reply Alison’s response was “because there’s nothing to update you on” It’s common courtesy to acknowledge that you have received an email even if there are no updates! It should not take this long for you to resolve the issue! I’m absolutely disgusted in this company and will never go through with them again!

Very professional and in timely fashion, the person who fitted them was fantastic and left everything very clean and tidy . The person who came to measure up was fantastic and made great suggestions which meant that I was very happy with the finished product

My Factory Direct Shutters were installed yesterday 9.1.2023 and they have really made a big difference to the appearance of our unit. We have bifold doors out to the verandah and when open they have allowed a wider view of the scenery.

Factory Direct have been very good to deal with from the very first phone call. I love the window shutters that were installed today and so far the customer service has been excellent. I got 3 other quotes for shutters and FD were the cheapest quote by far.

The shutters are great, considerably better than the blinds that were replaced. The company did a very good job. The tradesmen were on time, professional and friendly.

My first contact with the office was friendly and welcoming. Alison was helpful at all times even now when I couldn't find the link to this review. My contact with the technician who was to install the blinds was also positive. He completed his work with efficiency and speed not leaving anything at all which could be construed as rubbish. Neat as a pin. I observed that he knew exactly what he was doing as he obviously had a well used routine and advised me first off that he would be 40 minutes (for a full house installation).Since the blinds have been installed I am not waking up with the sun but I have been sleeping much better (in fact this morning I slept in and woke up at 9am). Also my personal feelings of safety have been improved at night. I close everything up and I feel absolutely free and safe in walking around my home. If I wake during the night and have to turn lights on everywhere and make a cup of tea I still feel safe. The look of the blinds is beautiful and it sheds a beautiful filtered light into my lounge. Very happy with the outcome of using Factory Direct.

The internal shutters, external shutters and motorised awning that we had installed by Factory Direct are absolutely beautiful! They look fabulous and the quality is outstanding. Very impressed from the start with Kevin coming out and giving us a quote. He answered some follow up questions via email and then returned to show us more of how the outdoor blinds worked, comparing the Zipscreen to the general blinds. He was very professional and didn’t pressure us at all (like another company did). The 3 outdoor Zipscreen blinds were installed on Tuesday by Ben. Great product, looks a lot better than then cheap blinds we had previously. I recommend to get a couple of quotes from other companies and then give FD Shutters a call. You will be able to compare and you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended.
