I’ll highly recommend Paul Monaro from Concord Sport and Spine Physiotherapy. I suffered from back problems from the construction industry and tried many different practices , which had me doing many visits and only getting temporary relief. What Paul did differently was to educate me on how my back operates and how to position myself when performing a task and to do regular short exercises to strengthen the muscles around my back. Taking his advice and being disciplined , I now have no back problems. What I have learnt from Paul’s advice is knowing the everyday things we do , we must always think about our posture- in how we sit , bend , and lift to avoid back trouble.

I found the quality of care and interest in solving a long term problem I was suffering fantastic. Thanks to the team at Concord Sport and Spine. I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone needing physiotherapy services. Cheers George.

From diagnosis to treatment, Paul Monaro nailed it. Zero over servicing too - I loved the advice that “if it feels better just ring and cancel your next appointment”, sadly in my experience, very few health professionals are this ethical. I warmly recommend this practice.

Paul was able to fix the acute pain in my hip. He also treated my arm and foot. I am pain free! He is something of a miracle worker. He does not need X-rays or ultrasounds to work his magic. Instead, he takes you through a range of movements and asks a plethora of questions before attacking the problem. If you do the exercises ( your contribution to the treatment) you will improve. If you don't, it only means that your condition could not be improved by a physio- any physio! I feel so much better knowing I have a professional to turn to. Go and see for yourself.

Very disappointed with the service I received. I requested to see Paul specifically because of his experience listed on their website and his special interest in the knee. When I got there within the first 5 minutes he said he couldn't see anything wrong and that it all seems fine (even though I've been in pain for weeks) - he literally asked me to walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes" so that he could figure out what the issue was. I complied and eventually felt pain in my knee - he also found the point which was feeling painful and said "but it doesn't tell me anything". He proceeded to tell condescendingly me that he has "30 years of experience" and that my symptoms were "strange and unusual". This is the most underwhelming and disappointing physio experience I have had in my whole life. I sent them an email expressing my disappointment and I got no response. The next day I went to go see a different physio in Burwood and they identified the problem and gave me exercises to do.Also Paul "treated" me my giving a "massage" on my legs with no pressure at all - it was really weird and unprofessional.I would not recommend this place at all. Wish I could give 0 stars. Such a waste of my time and money."

I have been seeing Paul for many years now when my lower back problem flares up. He is always able to meet me very promptly and is very accommodating with a time that suits me. His professional knowledge is very comprehensive and he has always been able to alleviate my pain after a few sessions. A great service and one which I recommend to family and friends!
