So glad we decided to stop in on way back to Queensland. We popped in 2 days before hand just before closing but they were sold out of most items. Now we know why. We bought a steak pie, vegetable sausage roll, cream bun and caramel slice. All where like going back to our 1970s childhood bakery. Flakey buttery pastry, not too sweet mock cream and thin chocolate and biscuit base on caramel slice so you can actually taste the creamy caramel filling. Will be our stop in whenever we are passing through Glen Innes.

Called in for a morning coffee. Not much available for breakfast snacks, but it is a pie shop. The pie I had was hot & flaky. Messy. But very tasty.

Most pie reviews are obviously quite subjective and what I love someone else might not, but…….The Glen Pie Shop pies in my opinion are fantastic - best plain mince pie I’ve had in a long time. The pastry on the base is crisp and delicious, the top is flaky and also delicious. The mince filling is not huge and the pie doesn’t stand an inch high like some but the filling is just perfect in ratio to the pastry. The mince is also super tasty, seasoned beautifully.If you like an honest pie this one is for you!

Stop into Glen Innes for some morning tea and went to the Glen bakery as you can see by the photos cakes and match sticks are yum oh but the best is their meat pies l had two with tomato sauce and my husband had the chicken mornayStaff are exceptional and very attentive we will definitely be backYum yum

Excellent baking and truly fabulous staff. Great meat pies and apple cinnamon pull apart. Everything else looked delicious as well. A delightful old school bakery. Long may they prosper.
