Chick N Coop Portuguese Style Chicken

Recently, I ordered a small hot chips for lunch - $8.The chips weren’t too bad, but unfortunately ‘drowned’ in that unsolicited, horrible chicken salt.If I hadn’t driven off already, I would have returned it - couldn’t be botheredSuggestion: Unless you’re psychic, PLEASE NEVER assume you KNOW what a customer wants. How difficult is it to ASK whether they WANT salt and if so, plain or chicken?In my opinion, chicken salt is generally used to add flavour to poor quality chips, but after rubbing the chicken salt on a tissue, the chips actually tasted much better…

Was shocked reading some of the reviews. People have no life. I have never had any issues with this place and the food is really good. Wish it was open longer hours as I work in the city mostly now and can’t get there as much, but as a Lawson local this is good stuff.

Chips and peri burger plus drink was under $20 and was relatively cheap. Food was cooked fast (under 10 mins).There's a nice outdoor area on a roof you can eat that overlooks the area. Not much else you can ask from a rural country town. First but not last time eating here.

The chicken was nice. But the price of the salads made us gasp - small takeaway container was $12 !!! We asked for three with no idea they would be that much - other places average $6 - $8 for the same size- and to make it worse it was 'average' (so much lettuce and not much else).

My partner and I love stopping in here whenever we have the opportunity. The food is always delicious! We live a bit too far away to be regulars but sometimes we drive up from Glenbrook just to get a chicken and some chips. Worth the drive every time. From the first time we came in, we've always felt welcome and even though we only come in a once in a while, the owner recognises us and makes us feel at home.I'm a bit shocked that there are a few bad reviews for this business. My suspicion is the owner doesn't put up with rude or entitled people. If you come into this shop with a smile and treat everyone with respect I have no doubts you'll have a great meal and a great experience.

Bought a chicken burger and drink. It cost $17 which is not terrible, but the tiny piece of chicken was pathetic. It didn't even cover half the bun. One piece of lettuce and two slithers of tomato. Very disappointing

Easily the best chicken burgers I’ve ever had compared to any other place I’ve tried in the last 30 years. Very friendly staff as well. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful place! Super service! Delicious chips and wonderful coffee! All their food and drinks are fantastic!! Such a great place! Thank goodness for Chick N Coop!! We are repeat customers and just love this place! Such lovely owners and lovely staff too!!

Food is delicious and extremely reasonably priced! Service is always super inviting and friendly.Weekly I go once or twice to pick up a couple of chickens. They are so juicy and full of flavour. Great to have either with salad and chips or put on a roll with some salad. I even use it to make lunches for the next few days.The chilli burger which is just amazing. All ingredients are so fresh and comes with a super generous side of chips and drink which again is a great price!!Have also tried many of the salads and warm vegetable dishes and everything is so fresh and tasty I would never hesitate to order anything even if it is new to the menu.So much love and care goes into every item on the menu would highly recommend to anyone who lives in the area or is just driving through for lunch!We will definitely be ordering a few chicken over the holiday period.

Found this trendy quaint place along our travels through the blue mountains. Great service with a smile, friendly and very helpful. Food is very well priced, coffee is excellent and enjoyable atmosphere out on the back deck . Thanks
