Le Coq Healthy Rotisserie
Really superb lunch at Le Coq in Balmain. The food was outstanding - and interestingly you can see the “healthy” side of their cooking, despite it still feeling very French. The duck was a standout dish. The service was also excellent. Admittedly, we were a bit of a pain to the staff, wheeling two baby prams into the restaurant, but the staff were incredibly hospitable helping to re-arrange chairs and tables to accomodate us. You can’t imagine what small kind acts like this can mean to exhausted parents who just want to enjoy lunch outside. I highly recommend Le Coq, and look forward to returning soon.

Le Coq Healthy Rotisserie
We enjoyed a fantastic weekday lunch with very attentive service in a pleasant and open setting! Having spent considerable time in France and Paris we were excited to try this restaurant. The food didn’t disappoint, we shared between two the 1/2 roast provincial chicken, side dish of roast potatoes and the peas and lettuce. We had a 1/2 carafe of a beautiful tasting French Rose and for desert enjoyed the chocolate fondant with ice cream. Overall a very enjoyable lunch, special mention to the young man serving us who was very helpful. We will definitely be returning.x

As the name said really healthy rotisserie, without being dry or tasteless ! Desserts are great too ! Slightly hard to find parking nearby …

Lovely authentic French food that can be shared with others or served for one. A small selection of wines that can be purchased per glass, carafe or bottle making it easier when deciding who’s driving!My only reservation would be the service. (It could be a little more ‘friendly.’)

Nice vibe, friendly service and delicious food, can’t ask for more! We got the escargot, the liver parfait, half roast chicken with mushroom sauce and mac and cheese.Everything was divine! Especially the liver parfait and the chicken. The chicken was very tender, juicy and full of flavours.Will definitely be back.

Le Coq Healthy Rotisserie
Had dinner here recently & was impressed by the food and service. We ordered the escargot for entree, rotisserie chicken, mash and greens for main to share & creme brûlée for dessert. All the food was cooked to perfection, in particular the chicken was delicious. The service was attentive and friendly and the pricing very reasonable for quality French food.Just a recommendation: The escargot was served with small pieces of toasted baguette and we would have preferred a few fresh slices of baguette to soak up the yummy, garlic sauce instead.Would definitely recommend this restaurant for fresh, French cuisine.

I would give these guys 6 stars if I could. They were perfect in everything.I came here on Valentines day. My gf wore a nice dress. The atmosphere (or as people say, vibe) was perfect for a romantic dinner. Its not a modern feel - it is a thoughtful and cozy with wooden floors and decor.Food was delicious as well. It was a set menu where i had roasted ribs / potatoes / Brussel sprouts for mains and this tangy flavoured kingfish for dessert. It was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS.Now I have emetophobia (fear of vomiting) so i eat very very little as fullness gives me panic attacks. But this meal was so delicious i went a little overboard. So I in fact had a panic attack in the restaurant so had to deep breath for about 30 minutes.Anyway, point is, it is very delicious and visually awesome food.Staff were so accommodating as well. Im a bit of a difficult customer (not rude but asking certain things in a certain way) but they were so kind at all times.Great value for money too. Definitely going to come back within the next month to eat their regular menu.

Le Coq Healthy Rotisserie
Braving the wilds of Rozelle for Le Coq might sound like the start of a great anecdote, and guess what? It is. The atmosphere, welcoming staff, French country cooking and superb wine list are all to die for. No need to treck to rural France searching for that Michelin gem outside Arles; Le Coq is delivering an equal experience right here. We’ve been meaning to try this restaurant for ages and now it’s going to be a regular fave.
