Westgate Punt Ferry Service

Lovely experience ! We got on from Port Melbourne to Spotswood with two bikes, the Punter was very friendly and helpful, $2.70 one way on weekdays, card payment available, great service overall.

Showed up on our bikes: punt was right there and took us on a quick crossing journey under the sun. Loved it, $5 well spent on a weekend!Pay attention to the hours as the return trip is only to catch before 430pm.

Great way to extend you bike ride or walk! This little punt will get you and your bike across from fisherman’s bend to Spotswood in no time. Runs weekends on demand all day - only $5. Weekdays are cheaper but only at set times morning and evening (we have got caught trying to cross in the middle of the day during the week)They only take card payments!

A great little punt that gets you across the Yarra River. Such a different way to see the Westgate Bridge. Great way to get to Spotswood and visit the newly opened Grazeland.

I wasnt aware that the punt ran on weekends, so it was a pleasant surprise to see it dock at the jetty. I was taking scenic shots of the area when it breezed through.The skipper was very friendly and knowledgeable, he assisted everyone that boarded with directions and different routes for bikers + the general public out for a wander.Its a great little trip for the kids, a pity its short, which is why I took a round trip, ha!

Love this cute punt service between Westgate Park and Spotswood. It’s a great way to connect with Williamstown and the west!

The best way for pedestrians and cyclists to get across the Yarra River from Port Melbourne to Spotswood/Williamstown is to use the Westgate Punt Ferry Service. It runs between Westgate Landing on Lorimer Street, near the corner of Sardine Street in Port Melbourne and Spotswood Jetty on Douglas Parade, near the corner of Craig Street and near Scienceworks.It's a small boat but a nice fun trip across the river however I think the $5 fare each way for the weekend is a bit much. In any event, I don't think that a toll should apply at all. Why should pedestrians and cyclists have to pay a toll to get across the Yarra River in this location and yet cars can get across Westgate Bridge without a toll?

An excellent service for bike riders and pedestrians. The short trip in the punt across the Yarra passed under the huge Westgate Bridge. Reasonable price. Provides a connection to the Bay Trail bike path (that is shared with walkers).

What an awesome way to get across.Seen the ferry leave multiple times. Pretty much under 5mins.
