I have recently done the behavioural optometry test for my 6.5yrs old son with Jeoff. He was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and kind. Took his time to explain everything for us to understand. Can't recommend highly enough!

Jeoff is an expert in his field, His humurous character, makes the eye testing go faster. He is professionaland very experienced in his field, and gives great advice. I took my children to him when there in grade 6 he knew that they would wear glasses to see distance. Adult children started to wear glasses in High School.He also tested my eyes and told me in the future I will have cataract , it hasn't happened yet, only because he keeping a close eye on me. Other companies did not see the future or detect any signs of cataract.If you any foreign objects in your eyes his the doctor to see. He finds them. I got up one day couldn't see from my left eye plus it hurt, the clients were very understanding of my emergency Jeoff took me in asap I had tear duct issues I was told to use special gel in my eyes drink lots of water. He actually spends proper time and discusses your health and what is best for your eyes. The retail shop is family based all staff are very understanding and helpful. They also do a great job at fixing others companies improper fittings.I have ordered new glasses through them. I can't wait till I get them.This store is a Gem in Mentone.I know for a while now his customer service has spread by mouth like fire and it will continue to do so.Their frames collection on display needs a refresher. They do have other rangers in draws lovely staff members will assist you just ask.THANK YOUFIGEN

I’ve been going here for years. Jeff does a real thorough job with the eye testing and Adam always finds me the best styles of glasses to suit me and my face. The whole gang is so pleasant to deal with. It’s the personal touch of a small business which the big corporates can’t match. Highly Recommend.

The optometrists are knowledgeable but the reception staff are unfriendly and unwelcoming. Our family has been there three times over the past few years after being recommended to go there by my child's teacher. The worst was when we were just on time for an appointment and were left to wait on the street outside the store with no one attending.The doors were locked and we could see there was movement inside still no one came to the door. After ten minutes of waiting, and now late for our appointment, I called reception only to be met with a rude woman on the phone who told me I needed to go next door and purchase facemasks then I could come back and they would open the door to let us in.When I asked her why we needed facemasks, as they weren't mandatory and at this stage in the pandemic numbers were low, she snapped at me rudely and said they were part of allied health which wasn't a clear explanation.I went next door and purchased a cheap packet of ten disposable facemasks for $3 from the knick knack store next door and explained to my children what we were doing and what was happening.We went back to the store and the Optometrist met us while the reception staff sat and did nothing. Thankfully the Optometrist was friendly and thoroughly examined my child's eyes.The receptionists sat there and didn't greet us or attend to us at all.If it wasn't for the Optometrist I would have given 1 star. 2 stars go to the Optometrist. 0 stars to the store. As far as I know health services provide facemasks should people be unaware or unprepared. The staff at Mentone Optical were rude and inconsiderate. We can get better quality glasses and service elsewhere. I won't be bringing my children back here again.

Adam, Jeoff, Kelly, & Alex all were very friendly, showing care & importance in explaining and researching details to ensure I was happy with my glasses. Highly recommended!
