Kempsey Tourist Village

Well overpriced. The van or cabin, not sure what it was very dusty and hot. The air conditioning didn’t work and this is the first place we’ve stayed at where the wine glasses were plastic. Not our cup of tea, won’t be back.

I was late and the owner accepted a late check in and trusted me to turn up. Got a lovely cabin and an area that was not overcrowded, great cabin. Friendly people, great facilities. Highly recommended. Thank you for your hospitality.

The owners were so lovely and accomodating here. I had a last minute request for accomodation for myself and my dog when my car broke down at night. Annette stayed back after hours to make sure I got to my cabin ok. The cabin was clean and tidy and had a nice enclosed balcony for the pooch. The park also had nice little off leash area for my dog to run around. Thanks again! Highly recommend :)

We found the cabin we stayed in very clean and tidy, with all of our basic requirements.Nice and quiet when we needed a good night sleep.Thank you Mark, you looked after us.

A good place to stay with great grassed sites and super clean amenities. The camp kitchen is fairly new and a great size with plenty of BBQ's. The site has great security and a good 'feel'. We'll be back again.

We called Mark, the campsite owner, during after hours trying to find a spot to stay for the night after 8 pm. Mark was extremely accommodating, opening the gate for us even though the office was already closed and even showed us around the campsite which was beautiful, quiet and offers super clean amenities and a spacious cooking area including a fridge, a bbq etc. The perfect spot for a stopover or a few nights near the forest.

I rang and we got in last minute. We were originally only staying one night as we are travelling but stayed another 2 nights. They were very accommodating. I love the pool. I went for a swim as it was Australia Day and very hot outside.

It was a late afternoon during school holiday peak period, when we were scrambling to find 1n pet-friendly accommodation, as the intermittent rain that day would not have made for a pleasant overnight camp. I am so grateful Annette came to the rescue, and was able to offer us a cabin, at last-minute notice. The cabins are basic, and great value.. There was a smell of bleach when we first walked in, but I guess it meant it was cleaned recently (and it went away in 10mins after opening windows & fan on high).. It's conveniently just a ~5minute drive away to shops/restaurants.. Our cabin had a small fenced balcony at the front, so our small pet dog had extra breathing room.. And there's lots of grassy areas to take the dog walking. All in all, a perfect overnighter on our way up to the mid north coast.

While Reception was very sweet and pleasant, the cabin was in need of attention, very old but clean and Seriously only 1 fork?? No tongs no microwave bowl. Hotplate constantly overloaded, no WiFi number, freezing air blowing through window seals, air con blew more cold than hot, spare blanket Moth eaten, incorrect or zero info on tourist stuff. Only positive was dog friendly. Not worth $140 per night. We won't be back.
