The track used to be very well maintained before the floods in 2022. Know its falling apart.Unless your fully mobile you can not use the river trail.

Not a bad spot for a walk. Good area to watch the Rattler pass over the bridge. Frequently overgrown.

Along the river, under the bridge and up again. If you're at the right time, you ac see the rattle train strolling above you. Very well cared walks and nice views.

A fantastic little stop on the river to rail trail. It's difficult to see on Google maps but there IS a hiking trail under the highway and down to The Sands.The bridge is beautiful, and I would have loved to have seen the stream train rattle by. Unfortunately, the only train running during my trip was the one that I had a ticket for!One of the engineers I was talking to said you shouldn't stand underneath the bridge as the train goes past, because you're likely to get covered in dirty water. So there's a tip for you!

One of many entries to the River to Rail Trail where you can park the car. While this part of the trail is a designated fossicking area the main thing people do here is walk on the wide paths and enjoy being amongst green trees and babbling creeks. Coming across a bridge passing overhead only makes it more interesting and magical.
