My husband and I felt privileged to have been given a gift voucher for a sizeable amount to use at Pixelife. Like many families we know we have very few photos of our family in the one photo. So we welcomed the opportunity to do a photoshoot session and take home some treasured photos. At the design appointment where we viewed our photos we realised the 'artwork' packages had exorbitant prices. Our voucher was for $600 and even when that was taken into account, as well as the 15% discount 'that the photographer mistakenly gave us but it had to be honoured' we paid $1800 for two framed photos to hang on the wall. What I really wanted was a digital package where I could print photos at my leisure and swap and change them on my walls. Pixelife offer digital negatives but only in a low resolution that you can't print larger than a desk photo. We left the design appointment feeling duped and ripped off.We were told our prints would take 6 weeks. After 8 weeks we called and were told our prints were coming the next day. No prints. We kept calling and more excuses came...the framer lost our prints, the framer ran out of wood.... 15 weeks later our prints were finally ready. Not once did Pixelife call us to advise the status of our prints. We had to follow them up every time. They even admitted they didn't realise we didn't have our prints until we called them. And when I picked up the prints the MD admitted he was too busy with his own personal agenda to realise what was happening with our order.As a gesture of goodwill for our inconvenience and their extremely poor customer service I asked if Pixelife could give us some digital negatives of some of the photos in our photoshoot - but it was apparently not possible because all photos apart from the very expensive ones you purchase are deleted immediately after your design appointment.The prints are nice but the experience was terrible and unfortunately that is all I can think about when I look at the prints. Customer service is not high on the agenda of this company. They are inflexible and their offering is antiquated.I strongly do not recommend them.

I had pictures done last year.First I was told I could pick up the photos after half of the amount was paid. When I called to pick them up I was told that this is not possible and they would never do that.So I waited a few more months, paid the rest off and then picked them up.After a little while when I went to put the photos in frames and hang them up I realised that the picture with the black background has scratches and white dots on it which shouldn't have been. I sent an email to Pixelife that I would like to have that looked at but no one ever got back to me.

One of the worst experienceGot a goft voucber of $600. Went for a photoshoot. After the shott they were just ripping off in everyway possible. I decided not to buy anything. Asked them for refund of holding deposit but got a reply that compang is closed down and pretty much forget about getting a single $ back.

my daughter had a photoshoot in the July school holidays, have waited so long to get the photos and now to find this company has closed down.I feel i have been scammed as i have paid a lot of money to get 13 photos via dropbox and cannot contact anyone to get my acrylic print. I have emailed and still no responses. How can people operate like this as it was only 3 weeks after our photoshoot the company closed down.NOT HAPPY and one very disappointed daughter.

Same deal as the others. I'm still waiting for my print (over 6 months later). I tried contacting them multiple times but received no reply, despite leaving voicemails and emails throughout the last 6 months.I have now contacted department of fair trading (free) and would recommend others to do so as Scott has told Fair Trading that he will honour it. We'll see if that happens or the tribunal will be next.
