Ganesha Wellness Spa on Kensington
My mother and I had a 'half day spa' experience here and to be completely honest, I was very disappointed. So disappointed I did not want to finish what we paid for (15 minute Ceda hot tub) which was actually a chlorinated spa. The lady, Jenny was very unpleasant and rude to not just us (her clients) but her staff as well. The staff were lovely, but, unfortunately seemed extremely inexperienced. Very disorganised, unclean and did not get what was advertised. I would not go here or come back.

It was my partner and I's first time to go on a day spa together.Communication - extremely wellCleanliness - extremely wellMassage - Sarah & Deanna were great! They asked us how we were doing halfway so they could adjust their massage styles but they were already great.Overall - great package for the price we paid.Additional story:Booking - I found their packages on Groupon and I had a few questions about the services. There was a phone number that I could call so I did. Jenny (i didn't know she was the owner) picked it up immediately and because my questions could take long, she communicated clearly that I could text her and she will get back to me. It was probably a long day but she did get back to me on a Sunday night. She explained how the day would go and we decided to go ahead with the booking. I expressed that I wasn't confident to make the purchase on 'fresha' booking app but she was patient in explaining that this is a safe way.On the day -We got there quite early, the spa was still closed. I texted Jenny's number and she was quick to respond. She immediately got someone to open the door for us.We went through the day as expected from the description that she explained and what was on the Groupon description. There were minimum interaction with other guests (from reading other comments, I am not sure if we were just lucky) but we felt like we owned the whole place!

My husband purchased a half day spa voucher for me for Xmas.I was really looking forward to some relaxation time and by the sounds of the place I imagined it to be welcoming and professional. I have to admit I was disappointed when we went through to the treatment room it felt dark & dingy with old towels on the massage beds, no relaxing oils burning, no skincare products on display that are used. The oil for the massage was just in a plastic bottle no idea what it was.Massage was nice would of been good if it was for longer. Facial wasn’t great I’ve never had a facial where a foaming cleanser is used and not asked about my skin, any concerns etc it just didn’t seem very professional especially as I work in this industry. The hot tub room was very dark and grubby and reminded me of a dungeon. It could be lovely if the room was painted white and a bit brighter and modern. The chlorine filter floating about had mildew around the filter which was a bit off putting. I thought I was getting a reflexology foot massage with hands not put my feet in a machine that I have at home. I was disappointed by this and was ready to go. Lunch was quiche and crackers dip. I think the spa side of the business needs a complete overhaul and be refurbished to a more welcoming, warm, modern, relaxing experience. The girl was ok but I felt a little uncomfortable throughout the experience. I prefer the Vanilla Day Spa in Scarborough as you do actually feel like you are away at a spa and you can smell the relaxing aromatherapy oils as soon as you walk in.Sorry it wasn’t a great review but the place has heaps of potential.I find your reply to my review of your half day spa package both rude and very unprofessional as a business owner. If you can’t take constructive criticism then maybe you shouldn’t be in business. I did not mention I own a business in this industry, I work in this industry. If I did have a business, I would welcome you to visit and observe how a professional day spa should present with professional staff. I fail to see where $100,000 has been spent downstairs in the spa area. Looking through other reviews the common denominator seems to be the same not very welcoming, lack of atmosphere, amount of time spent on treatments, skin care used, no relaxing music, lunch, treatment performed by electronic gadgets instead of a therapist. It is false advertising to advertise reflexology when really it’s plastic socks with feet inside a machine!!

I never complain but I feel we did not get what we paid for.My husband and I came in for a couples revive package. The over all experience was very awkward and uncomfortable. The staff were pleasant but it was all so disorganised; unsure of what was happening next and not relaxing. The massage itself was ok but the room was unclean, you could see the dirt on the floors and we could hear other staff talking in the next rooms, therefore not relaxing, The hot tub was unavailable so we had another treatment which we knew about but we felt we were brought to the room and left there with insufficient explanationsOther places I have been to we were given robes and a place for our personal items, but not in this case, we had to undress and leave on the floor and carry it with us to to the room (the package included robes) After these 2 treatments we were ready for our foot spa and drinks and nibbles: Again the staff were unsure what was happening and eventually led us upstairs to a seat outside and told to sit and wait. No mention of the foot spa, a small plate of crackers and dip was placed on a stool nearby without no communication if this was for us or not, We were told they had no champagne and there was conversation about going to get some but at this point we said no thanks: We were pretty much over it, My husband and I sat there and decided to just leave, No one was in sight, we went downstairs to say we were leaving but no one was in the foyer, So we left very unsatisfied with this experience: We never write reviews and thought maybe the owner would call us on Monday to ask what happened or send a text, No this did not happen, So I have decided to write this review, I would not recommend this spa to friends as we did not get what we paid for and we did not feel relaxed or satisfied with this experience,

I got a spa voucher as a birthday gift for 2 people for here, and they absolutely loved it, were positively raving about it!They did multiple treatments and said there was no rush through them at all, the staff were very friendly and hospitable and everything was done to a high standard and extremely relaxing and comfortable environment. As the praise was so high I have now purchased as a gift to go here with my mum and am so looking forward to it!!!

My hubby and I had a half day spa and lunch experience for our 30th wedding anniversary recently at Ganesha. We had an enjoyable experience. The treatments, especially the hot stone massage, were divine. There were a few areas with room for improvement, however, I chose to discuss these directly with the owner, Jenny. Jenny was very open and welcoming of my suggestions, and it seems some of them were already being implemented and some of the issues were unavoidable due to staffing issues on the day. I run a small business myself and know, despite our best intention and practises, things can go wrong. I believe Ganesha has great potential, and I would definitely pay them another visit.

I gave a massage and spa coupon to a friend. After asking her how the experience was, she told me that everything went very well. The food, the wine, the spa, but when they gave her massages, the man who gave her massages tried to take off her underwear, she did not feel comfortable and she stopped. And the rest of the experience did not feel comfortable. It seems unprofessional to me not to ask beforehand if she wanted massages in that area. I think it's good to leave this in the reviews in case it happens again or happened before.I'm not happy with this spa

The whole establishment needs a lot of work from the customer service to the false advertising. The therapists themselves are nothing short of hospitable and amazing. Do not advertise reflexology when it is just a Foot massage MACHINE. The Spa Manager needs to be more hospitable and welcoming as I think she means well but comes across cold. Also heating in all the rooms would be much nicer on cold winter days.

It's like visiting someone's lovely home to be pampered. Staff friendly and attentive, but also gave you plenty of space. Very much enjoyed the treatment - massage and facial, although there was no leg massage, just back shoulders scalp and arms, but that was fine. I had Tiana, i thought but see reviews mention Deanna so maybe that was it. The reflexology was just a machine rather than a therapist, but I enjoyed the alone time and I had a choice of machine depending on how much pressure I was after. Lovely private room for the hot tub, you could adjust the bubbles in the spa, but not the temperature. It was nice and warm but I probably would have cooked myself given the chance ha.Lunch in a private area overlooking a balcony, with a glass of nice sparkling. The lunch was crackers and dip plus a home made quiche. Simple, but tasty and appropriately light for a post treatment meal.I feel some of the reviews are comparing it to something it's not trying to be. It had some hustle and bustle in the open areas, like being in a home environment, and no, the therapists aren't all in a matching uniform and trying to sell you a particular brand of product.. If you're after something more clinical, it probably isn't for you. But if something homey and welcoming is more your style, you'll love it.

Would not recommend! Staff were nice but not at all at the level expected, techniques were average at best. Products used for facial smelt terrible and no headband was used to prevent excess products in my hairline. 30min hot tub session was included however I didnt go in as a couple were in there just before me and lotion and product residue could be seen sitting on the water surface. Lunch was laughable with crackers, hommus, salsa and a microwaved quiche (i heard the staff microwave it!). It was also very loud with people entering and leaving throughout the massage. I think they have a long way to go
