A very enjoyable trip. Four hour cruise was excellent. Guide Kim was a fountain of knowledge about the area’s history as well as being very keen on all aspects of the forest walk. Lunch was amazing and exceeded our expectations including wonderful catering for dietary requirements notified in advance. Highly recommend this tourist activity - great to see locations from the river - a whole new perspective.

Spent the day on the Leven River with Kim and what a great day it was. The River provides absolutely stunning scenery and abundant bird and marine life.Kim has great knowledge of the area and its history and shares many of her stories as you meander up the river on your way to a rustic shack on the riverside for a very generous picnic lunch. After lunch you get to take a walk through a beautiful section of forest that is steeped in history and Kim will walk you through, sharing the stories and pointing out items of interest as you go through. Back in the boat for the return journey the change in tide brings changes to the scenery, the reflection of the landscape onto the water is just stunning. We saw numerous fish jumping out of the water and were very privileged to see 2 adult Eagles feeding very close to the boat. Kim continues sharing her knowledge of the river and the area, so many fascinating stories. I can't recommend this tour highly enough, Kim is very passionate about the river and surrounding areas and has gone to huge lengths to learn the history of the area so she can share a small part of it with you throughout the day

This was a wonderful wild life experience. Kim has a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna especially the birds.Kim and her husband worked so hard to give us a great day out.

We had the best day. Kim is so knowledgeable about plants, birds, the river and the history of Ulverstone and loves the town and it's surrounds. My wife and I learnt so much today and enjoyed every minute of the trip. We did the lunch cruise and had the best lunch which included a great salad roll, dessert, fruit, chocolates and a snack pack.I would recommend this trip to anyone. We had a very easy walk through a forest with a full explanation on everything that was happening and has happened in the forest. This is great value and very interesting. Please don't miss out even if you are a local as it is an amazing trip on a beautiful river and a great guide.

We just had the most wonderful 2 hour cruise down the river with Kim, she made it so delightful for us. It was just my husband and I, and nothing was too much trouble for her. She shared her knowledge and wisdom of the area and really made it very special. It was the way she shared her own stories that made it so wonderful. I highly recommend Leven River Cruises for a beautiful time on the water.

Had a lovely morning cruising the Leven River looking for birdlife of which there was plenty. Kim was very friendly and went out of her way to make this an enjoyable experience. We will come back one day and try and find the elusive azure kingfisher.

Leven River Cruises came highly recommended by a fellow wildlife photographer & for good reason. Kim has been running the tours for many years so has sound knowledge on both the river & area. If there are birds there Kim will find them & name them then position the boat for the best image possible. If you need a hand with anything nothing is too much trouble so if you are in the area do yourself a favour & take a cruise.
