I live only a couple of Kilometers from the beach and have been here since 1983 so I imagine that I'm a bit biased. It is a shallow tidal beach with very safe sheltered waters. There are several short bush tracks that lead to the white sandy beach. There is rarely anybody on the beach except for public holidays. The surrounding embankments are dotted with aboriginal middens. It is a fantastic beach for all including young children but definitely not a surf beach
