Such a perfect place for a weekend away. Managers were absolutely delightful and made us feel so welcome. They went above and beyond to look after the dietary requirements for my partner and ensured we had a great stay.And the BREAKFAST... incredible. Great variety and just overall delicious.Rooms were perfect and had everything we needed for a lovely getaway. The property is stunning and is lovely to stroll around.If I could give more than 5 stars I would ✨️

Jo and Sam were the perfect hosts during our 2-night stay. We were lucky to stay in a separate house, that can welcome up to 10 guests (4 bedrooms with double/queen beds, and a master bedroom). Everything was very clean and comfortable. We were thrilled by the welcome nibbles, a bottle of Petersons wine and some cheese. The whole family enjoyed the hearty breakfast served in the guesthouse kitchen, perfect to start a great day. It was like being home, but with a great service!

Lovely host, lovely grounds, beautiful breakfast. Unfortunately the cottage wasn’t luxurious as described. It was dusty, the kitchen cupboards smelled very musty and damp, the crockery was dirty, the lightbulbs in the living area were all mismatched colours, and there was only an electric blanket in one bedroom. Also, the bathroom sink was blocked and took ages to drain. Such a shame as it has real potential.

Lovely place, in a really tranquil setting. Very homely and welcoming, with lots of added touches like treats in your room. Loved being able to have a glass of wine by the water at sunset and seeing kangaroos!

Jo and John are excellent hosts and provide not only very comfortable rooms with little treats, but a very delicious breakfast! Thistle Hill is in an excellent location - close to lots of great wineries, cafes and restaurants. A 5/5 for our stay - loved it!

Beautiful stay at Thistle Hill, Tori and Ian were very accomodating and made my partner and I feel very welcome. Located on hermitage road, a stones throw from vineyards, brew houses, distilleries, cheese houses and restaurants, and where somewhere was just a bit too far (or weren’t able to drive) Tori very happily booked taxis and transport to ensure our trip was memorable. Complimentary cheese and wine upon arrival and a fantastic breakfast spread each morning made for a very cosy experience. Will be coming back when returning to Hunter Valley.

Stayed here twice recently, once for work and once with family and had an amazing time on both occasions. Jo, Jo and Tori were fantastic at making us feel welcome and the heated bathroom was a nice touch in the cold and rain of winter.Would recommend to friends and family and look forward to staying there again soon.

Gorgeous place to stay. Rooms all have a lovely view. Nice little touches in the rooms, really comfortable bed & super clean. We loved the pool & outdoor area. Breakfast service was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Thistle Hill Guest house was the ideal home away from home for our long weekend stay in the Hunter Valley with our 19 month old toddler.We were impressed by the picturesque estate, the provision of a cot, the abundant storage options in the room, and the delicious breakfast banquet using local ingredients.Our room was warm and cosy and bed so comfortable. Everyone went above and beyond in your hospitality. We can’t wait to stay with you again next time.Thank you Jo & Jo and all the staff at Thistle Hill!
