Earlwood Medical Centre

The centre is extremely busy, however the staff and doctors are the most helpful in looking after patients that have urgent issues. I would like to commend all the staff for keeping up such a high quality of service and care in such a busy environment.

It doesn’t matter when I call, try to book online, or show up in person - they can never see my toddler when he needs to be seen. And with young children they often need to be seen urgently. As a result, I have ended up at the hospital 4 times the last 6 months on account of simply not being able to see his GP that day. I have been calling all morning, and in the end they took the phone off the hook rather than attempt to find an appointment to see his sudden head-to-toe rash. This clinic does not see to your health needs. Avoid avoid avoid.

Very friendly staff. Had my Pfizer jab and process was smooth and efficient. Doctor explained the side effects of the vaccine before administering it.

Came in for a flu vaccine recently and the nurse Lauren was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I normally get nervous when I go in for needles but not here. Very good job and keep it up.

Useless and negligent.I went in with the intention to see the next available doctor. My toddler had a fall and I needed someone to see her and give me a referral for a scan. They said there was no one available even though I explained my concerns to the receptionist that she wasn’t walking. The best they could do was ask me to come back in 3 hours. The centre was not even as busy as I’ve seen it in the past.I was forced to go to a different medical centre and get a scan and as it turns out, my daughter’s leg and foot is fractured. I then had to go to the children’s hospital to get it plastered.I called the centre to speak to the manager to complain so this doesn’t happen to someone else and didn’t even get the courtesy of a call back or email. All I got was a sad excuse from the receptionist about the doctors not wanting to be “overloaded”. Surely these doctors would be willing to assist an injured baby with an appointment that would not have taken 5 minutes. Apparently not.Will never visit again.

This is the worst run medical practice I have ever encountered. Do not use this practice. It is more like a truck stop for patients. None of the appointments have been on time. The reception staff are overwhelmed and ignore you. It is regrettable the high quality of care shown by the doctors when you get to see them is not supported by the practice administration. I provided some feedback about my experience and it appears they only encourage feedback as an exercise to make a point to correct you rather than to acknowledge your experience. Their email response was ridiculous. They actually told me to use another GP service given you are disappointed with ours. They also have clinics at Bangor and San Souci so avoid these as well. Do not be convinced by the awards they place on their website which do not appear verifiable.

This is the best medical centre around. The reception staff is so professional. The nurses are wonderful. The doctors sincerely care, are attentive to your issues and stay on top of things. Wait time is reasonable. You can book on the HotDoc app, and you’ll get SMS or email reminders. If you need to cancel or reschedule you can do it from the app, too. It will also let you know when you need to follow up. The Laverty lab techs are also very good. It’s difficult for people to find a good vein on me, and they’ve not had a problem. Parking is easy because there is a public carpark right nearby. This ticks all the boxes and is a shining example of how excellent Australian health care can be.

The medical centre have really lovely and caring staff. The doctors are the most helpful and listen to your needs. The overall atmosphere is very friendly and I would definitely recommend for anyone hoping to have long term healthcare with a centre.

This place is full of FAKE 5 star reviews! One look at the reviews and you can tell they’re mostly fake. Only the 1 star reviews are genuine. Also, this clinic has the worst customer service! The receptionists are rude and flat out argumentative. The owners and managers threaten you with legal action for leaving negative reviews. Go cry me a river!

The nurses here are lovely. I have seen them look after children so thoroughly and put families at ease when they are stressed. The doctors and staff are friendly and caring!
