Friendly staff, good bread and surprisingly one of the best pies we have had. Even better than the fernvale bakery (in our view) who blatantly advertise that they have the best pies in Australia!Pies were pepper steak and I’d be keen to try others when we next visit.

Definitely NOT worth the drive. I had to post this I'm sorry. You need to train your poor staff. 15 minutes spent with the young girl trying to serve us .... This isn't waiting online, serving us.She didn't say Hello, didn't say Please, didn't say Thank You, didn't say goodbye.Didn't know what the basic items in your shop were even called? Literally didn't know what a cinnamon don't was or a pink donut and stuffed it up about 4-5 times.Then after she didn't know the items or literally anything at all, she tried to add up in her head... Items which she didn't know .. so I watched her just make up the prices.I went outside added it up. $5.50 over charge and yeah probably THE worst customer service experience ever it was highly embarassing

Picked up some fresh sandwiches and rolls to fuel me on my road trip. I may have also picked out a few treats as well! A good country style Aussie Bakery which has clean bathroom facilities too.

Had been craving a mince and mushy pea pie since arriving in Qld....It was delicious and the service was friendly and quick. Had not been traveling further north and would have gone out of my way to go back for another pie.

Awesome place to grab a bite with friendly staff. This place offers the best meat pie and sausage rolls I've had in a long time. Seriously, the sauage rolls are deliciously fantastic. Fan of the square shaped pies too.

Friendly, efficient and good coffee!We grabbed some food out of the hot box and some coffees/hot chocolate for the road. Would definitely recommend it as a stop to anyone passing through.

The best pie that I have had in a very, very long time. We had lunch here and were stoked by the quality of the pastry and the filling. The service was super friendly - lovely to see a nice smile and a friendly face after being on the road!

Well what a nice suprise ordered a works burger, large chips with plain salt and salad roll, and to my suprise the chips were ready within 2mins of ordering wow that's quick but wait thats someone else's order, but wait it gets even better a hamburger arrives not the works burger as ordered back to the kitchen we go for another attempt surely the salad roll is straight forward. Guess again the chook raffle wheel was spun again out the back and would you believe it I got a corn meat and salad sandwich on white no roll. I felt sorry for the couple that ordered ahead of me as they were still awaiting their order. Esk Bakery and Cafe should probably drop the Cafe and stick to pies and bread .

A little overpriced, but great food. A little disappointing when a local gets served first, even though we were first in line. Happy and friendly service.
