BIG W Mittagong

I was at Big W Mittagong on Thursday night right before closing. I bought $500 of stuffs and went to the check out to pay with my gift card. For some reason I could not figure out how to use it on my fone. There was a young cashier who was very helpful and friendly who stayed and tried to help me out for 20 mins. Then she call her supervisor who was also super friendly tried to help me but could not. Then another male staff also spent 10 mins to help me out. Now, this is what I call genuine customer service and true desire to help someone. They all when out of their way to help me, they had a choice to walk away and ask me to come back as they were about to close. Great team is build by greater attitude. I must say the Big W Mittagong's positive attitude towards customers will go a long way. Big thank youand massive appreciation to the effectiv, efficient and committed team.

Minty staff at the service desk, definitely see why they left the word customer out of the title. They seem like they're making enough money without having to offer service for our close to $1k item. Maybe she had hemorrhoids, or maybe she was just the Grinch?

The service here is usually great, most workers are very nice except for today when I went to pick up something up from the services desk and was told by an older woman to “leave her alone” after asking politely for an approximate time that my order would be ready (it was supposed to be ready within the hour and it had been 3 hours and it was close to closing time).After I asked her why she was being rude she insisted that I leave her alone…I ended up finally receiving my order. I don’t feel the rudeness was necessary and If she was having a bad day, she definitely shouldn’t take it out on customers who have done nothing but ask a question.

Great range of items at affordable prices.Large store with an easy to find layout with each section clearly labeled.While there wasn’t many actual staff on the shop floor, the pricing stations were plenty and in working order.Friendly staff on the registers and the aisles were clear of stock and easily manoeuvrable.

Everything you need at a great price.

Very rude security guard at the door, asking us what we wanted before letting us inside. I understand that it's unprecedented times and only essential shopping is allowed right now, but if you have to interrogate your customers before letting them in, at least choose a staff member with better manners for the job. And don't make people feel like they're in the wrong for actually needing to buy something. Believe me, if I could have bought the item elsewhere, I would have.
