We went swimming here after a big day hiking. It was a great place to cool off and there are picnic facilities nearby.

Gorgeous lake. Great spot for family / couple photos. We enjoyed a picnic from the viewing station adjacent to the carpark.

Lake Bellfield in Halls Gap is a stunning location to visit on your way or out of Halls Gaop. the lake supplies water to Halls Gap and Pomonal. The lake itself is absolutely breathtaking, with crystal-clear water reflecting the surrounding mountains and sky. There are plenty of walking and hiking trails in the area. Kid friendly and panoramic views from the lookout points.

It's a beautiful place. You can do some hiking have a top view or goto the lake and enjoy the surrounding place. It was so peaceful around that the only noise was that of the white parrots. So annoying were they.!!

Lake Bellfield reservoir had a few points of interest. There is the 800m long dam wall which can be walked across. Some folk were fishing there. There are picnic areas along the shore and swimming and kayaking are permitted in demarcated areas. It is also possible to drive below the dam wall to a large car park near the spillway. The water gushes out with great force and is quite a sight and sound! We spotted kangeroos and a large stag wandering near the car park.
