Enjoyed seeing the Silo and if we hadn't already had Devonshire tea in Devenish, we would have no doubt enjoyed a serve of them in Goorambat's lovely Railway Hotel.

The silo art trail was spectacular! The cafe at Goorambat was friendly and flexible! A pleasant stop, good coffee, cakes and the chicken burger was full of flavour.

The (Victorian) Silo Art Trail meanders through the different remote tiny towns in the rich wheat growing area of the Goulburn River Valley --  a most iconic, beautiful, and historic area of central northern Victoria. The Silos are all variously situated always very close to their town's local pub and the town's local railway siding, all of which were built in the 1880's. Not much has changed since. We have much enjoyed exploring the by-waysof this stunningly beautiful part of Australia.

Great artwork on these silos. Easy to park and easy to see. Little cafe does a good coffee.

Drove past here the other day and found the artwork impressive.Goorambat silo art depicts Clydesdale horses these were the backbone of the Goorrambat farming community from the time of the first settlers until long after the first tractor arrived in Goorrambat in 1924. The Australian Barking Owl(also known as the winking owl) and the Iron bark trees play an important role for the Barking Owl and other animals and birds considering the Barking Owl is endangered. The Iron bark tree has also played an important role in the agricultural industry in the district.
