The worst . 6 months into build and they could not tell me who my surveyor. Emailed and called waited 2 weeks with no response. When I asked to speak to a manager they just hang up the phone. horrendous dont trust your build with them.

Customer service at this business is non existent. Following a phone discussion, then sending an email with plans for my small project, it took two weeks for me to receive a short message from them to say they couldn't assist me. This is after me chasing them in 6 separate phone calls. Poor service and effort.

Checkpoint Building Surveyors
A single page report with one photo. No details at all. Didn't mention a single defect. Inspection carried out just a day before that by independent inspector listed a number of defects including split timber in the frame.

Checkpoint Building Surveyors
My builder had the compulsory frame stage inspection done by this building surveyor and the inspection report is the most hopeless I have seen. The report is just one page with a photo of surveyors car covering half of the page and the other half builder & customer information. There is one line by the way, which says approved. There is no information of what specifications were checked and what defects were raised/fixed.

As some one else mentioned, they issue bulk reports to builders without actually inspecting for defects and conformance. If you see checkpoint reports provided by your builder. Tell them you don’t accept and would like to go independent. White collar scammers.

Have dealt with many surveyors before but Scott and his team are by far the best. The quick responses and easy access for quick questions has been amazing to deal with. Cannot recommend highly enough. Wish we could deal with them on all our projects.
