Australia Post - Banyule LPO

Wonderful local post office - always friendly and helpful. I even put a post on our local Good Karma Network Facebook page and lots of people commented on just how good they were. A treasured local asset located in a quiet street shopping centre.

So so helpful! I went in this afternoon - yeah, they are open for postal stuff Sat until 6pm - and the service was great. They went out of their way to help me set up my Aus Post app correctly. When so many other LPOs just refer you to AusPost website, this was a breath of fresh air, and such positive experience. They got my business for sure!

Very poor service and only out for money. I researched and told them upfront the price of postage for my parcel and they proceed to give me a significantly more expensive box and I was only aware of the price increase during the payment. When I highlighted that it wasn't the original price, they wouldn't let me change it to the correct parcel. I recommend going to a post office with more respect for honest service.

ZERO STARSWorst expereicne and completely unprofessional owners. I have never been so disgusted in customer service and outraged with any type of service in my life. These owners are not willing to listen nor help with any issue. Our packages have been damaged, months late and opened. We have had packages and mail sitting in there for long periods of time, with our apps and emails saying that they are there for collection. When we have tried to collect them they have been extremely incompetent in finding them sending us to multiple different post offices and wasting so much of our time. We have paid for express postage and postage insurance but this does not seem to prevent our mail from being months late, opened, damaged and lost.I do not feel safe in this Australian postal office as every-time I go in I am constantly repeating my address and personal information for the whole store to hear, as they can't seem to listen. I have been yelled at aggressively by both the man and woman owners when I have asked why my packages haven't been delivered properly or damaged and told that it was my fault. The only solution they have come up with is call number" for the Australian post

The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. And being they coexist inside a newsagent, they have longer opening hours than other post office. Great customer experience. Will definitely do business here again.

I called up, spoke to a man that told me my package wasn't there. The Aus Post app told me it was awaiting collection there, so did the site I ordered from. They couldn't find it. I tried calling again a few days later, and no answer. I called again the next day, no answer. When I went in, they couldn't find my package for a while. I kept having to say my address out loud for everyone to hear (I'm a young woman, and that makes me very uncomfortable), even though I had a code for them to scan so I didn't have to do that. When I finally got my package, I tried to give them feedback. I told them their phones weren't working, and that they had had my package for over a week before finding it...I was met with the man trying to tell me I was wrong, and that I had made the mistake. No. Don't go here. Avoid them at all cost.

Ok in person service but terrible phone service. Takes multiple calls to get through, doesnt listen and will hang up on you. I explained I was away and that I got a notification that my parcel had arrived and would be sent back before I returned, twice, both times I got a spiel saying to check the tracking and come in if the parcel is there. AS I SAID I CANT COME IN IM AWAY.

No stars ever!WILL BE MAKING A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO SALLY FOSTER (Commercial Manager at Australia Post) AND THE POSTAL INDUSTRY OMBUDSMAN and keep escalating to the higher ups until this is rectified.**If this sounds familiar to your experience please join us contacting the above officials so we can finally all get our mail safe and sound.**This is disgusting that it has happened to so many people over the years.(Read Reviews)These owners should not be a government authority or handling any civilians valuables unless they want them: Damaged, Opened, Missing, Lost, Over 2x months Late, Treated unfairly and extremely disrespected.-No clue why these people have 4 stars!? This is extremely serious and they have broken Federal law. We have reported these matters to the federal police.It seems common practice for these 'Post Office Operators' to withhold consumers packages and mail for undisclosed amounts of time or send people on wild goose chases to Banyule local post offices when in fact they have just miss-placed the mail as our slips/online say they are awaiting collection at Banyule LPO?!!-You could go in everyday, they will not listen and talk over you and you will not get your mail until they decide your worthy.Absolute disgrace of power placement.(Sound familiar? Lets not put up with this any longer!)This is the worst postal system I have ever encountered in a metro area. From distribution the local posties to the post offices there needs to be a reform. I will bloody work for Aus Post if it means we will get our mail!-When you don't even receive bills and when you do, they've been opened or find important letters floating down a busy road enough is enough! This isn't a covid thing you can't have pressure on the system for over a year and you not adapt to it? This is common place read the reviews over the last few years. This is for you Australia! More honest Aussies in the postal system getting your mail to you with respect. Is it really that hard?

Don't know why there are so many negative reviews but the post office's owner has been super helpful and friendly. He helps me a lot with my business. 5* all the way.
