Had the worst experience. I am a frequent shopper at Claremont quarter. I went in to David Jones to browse to pass some time. Once I left, the security lady in front of David Jones, followed me up the escalators to ask to look through my bag. I have never stolen in my life and never will. She had no reason to ask or make me feel less than. Not that it matters but I was dressed in proper and decent attire. Attire usually seen at Claremont. I complied and once checked she went back immediately as I had not stolen anything.

Good selection of department store items in a nice setting. Obviously it's hard to beat Claremont quarter for overall shopping centre aesthetics, and this David Jones works with that aesthetic.

Surprised by how rude a staff member was in the jewellery department, she stood behind me, no smile and watched me browse for a Mother’s Day present like she thought I was going to take something. In future I will go elsewhere.

Not good service. The automated phone system is rubbish.if you must have it how about each state be independent & if you must call Melb.or Sydney call direct.Also too hard to get help to purchase if you cannot shop personally.

Such a poor selection of menswear. Nothing between younger demo' own brands like Academy, mature labels ie Rodd&Gunn and label adourned Tommy Hilfiger/Nautica rubbish. Who does the buying for DJs...

I did not appreciate the salesperson telling me how to pronounce Regatta". She insisted it was "re-garta"! (She didn't know that it's a real word from the world of sailing.) Plus - this shop doesn't even stock this brand. Unnecessarily rude person."

Up market. Looking for socks advertised on sale. Got little help from the women's sock section but in men's socks they were very helpful - really good service. Pity the women's section let the side down.

Small David Jones store but good staff there. I am beyond satisfied with the service provided by Amy from Lamer. She’s very knowledgeable and friendly, recommended right product for my skin type. I also received a facial after purchasing.( during the lamer facial week).She did an amazing job on my facial. Very good communication she informed me of each product that was used. Nice and clean facial room, I felt so relaxed.[ThumbsUp]

Bought 3 pieces from country road. Polo shrinked after first hand wash. Two Cotten silk polo cost me over $260 from David Jones. Linen shirt stitches undone ant the sleeve after first wash. Massive disappointment. Paid premium price for a terrible product.
