Coles Coolum

They used to have the best service, the freshest fruit, meat and bread. However, early post Coved that all changed. The staff is not as polite, the fruit is the worst in town, and the meat is shocking! I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. You open the package and it already has that doll colour and it smells off. They changed brand recently, however, that was only fruitful for a couple of weeks. Now they are back to being rubbish. I wonder if this is on purpose or whether it is the way Coles store their meat. It is disgusting! Prices massively up, quality down.Sadly I now have to shop at Woolworth which it a pain as their staff seems indifferent to their customers, but at least their products are more fresh.

Quite a few items on special weren't available. Rubbish in trolleys. Not a large Coles so not the range of a normal Coles. Targeted to the tourist rather than the residents. As limited space, not all specials available, and normally empty. Some non-special items were spread out into the special items space so be careful when choosing so you don't get caught picking up items that you think are on special when not. Due to drought & supply issues, no broccoli, cauliflower was green as well as the bananas. No mushrooms ( again). Missing pork items as well. Smaller gluten free range.

Today I was challenged by a Coles trolley collector (and rightly so) for putting a dab Murphy trolly in a Coles trolly bay. I acknowledge him and removed the trolly taking it back to Dan Murphy’s. I then asked if he could arrange for the Coles trolly that was on the road to be collected. (4 Coles trolleys on the pavements within 100 meters of store) I got the cold shoulder as he walked away
