One month after we got our furnitures moved interstate, we found out a lot of furnitures handled by Kent becoming flimsy/wobbly. The drawers built in our bed are difficult to close, and the study chair has a main screw missing so the left arm fell off the other day. Don’t get me started on how dirty those fabrics furnitures got. The protection we received was just filthy ragged clothes to wrap around them. Still gave Kent 2 stars because there was no missing pieces of furniture.

Moved from Adelaide to Tasmania. Quote and packing occurred as planned, and quote was cheaper than a competitor. Movers were all friendly and efficient. All furniture and items arrived without damage.

Well, if there was ever a situation that would be perfectly underscored by the Benny Hill Theme Tune (Google it) it would be my experience with Kent Removals! Now before we get the “More than 30,000 Australians a year entrust Kent” auto bot tag line, take it from me, if I could turn back time, take a bow Cher, and change it to ‘More than 29,999 Australians a year entrust Kent’ I would be one happy camper.Now I understand I have decided to move from Adelaide to Brizvegas during some major biblical weather, which is neither the responsibility nor fault of KentMy problems began at packing, the bloke that arrived was a nice fella but frankly he used more paper than the US and China combined. Now this was a good thing from a protection point of view, but it skewed the forecast packing carton quota, hence they ran out of space in the container. So, after taking a call from a Kent Manager I was advised I would be charged extra to convey the additional items to Brisbane, now at this point I am 24 hours away from settlement and over the proverbial barrel so pay I did.I arrive in Brisbane and my delivery date is locked in; I receive a text at 11.15 a.m. one day prior to drop off confirming the time.At 2.31 p.m. I get a text “Delivery is cancelled due to floods and your consignment hasn’t arrived in Brisbane yet. We will contact you as soon as it arrives in Brisbane”, now not a phone call, not an apology, a text message.I have my family in an empty house, with no belongings, no beds, nothing, and I get a text! I ring my Client Coordination Consultant, I am promised a return call ASAP and an update, nothing, I left five messages that day, not a single return call.I am notified on the 10th of November 2022 “good news, we have your container, it hasn’t left Adelaide”, yes superb news, I am sleeping on borrowed camping mattresses and keeping basic food items in an Esky with ice, but that’s not a major issue as I have no cooking equipment or cups and plates!On the 14th of November 2022 I receive another text, Kent love that personal touch, my goods will be delivered on the 15th of November 2022 between 11.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. I book the day off work.It is 2.00 p.m. on the 15th of November 2022, and you’ve guessed it, no delivery, no call and not even one of Kent’s amazing texts. I contact the Brisbane office, I speak to a female who takes my details and promises me a return call, I wait 45 minutes, at this point I am thinking I should just walk to the servo and get some more ice for the Esky! I call again and speak to the same female, no one has called me, I hang up. Short time later I get a call from Kent advising there is no delivery booked in for me today, I’m waiting for a truck that isn’t coming. I have now wasted 2 days annual leave, yep superb, it is now six nights without any of my possessions.I go to work the following day, Kent arrives and deliver my goods, but wait, remember that extra furniture I had to pay for, that is not here! Again, nobody tells me, nobody calls. I return to The Adelaide Operations Manager, he answers call, returns emails, these goods are still in Adelaide.Fast forward to the 1st of December 2022, guess what I am doing, sitting here waiting for a truck that my Client Coordination Consultant promised me would arrive today. Well true to form I got an email after five unanswered calls, the Client Coordination Consultant couldn’t ring, he sent an email “From looking at the system, it does look like the job has not been scheduled so I would assume that delivery would not be made today”.So there you have it, third wasted day waiting for a delivery that never arrived and again only notified by being pro-active and chasing it myself.Now remember ‘Kent provides affordable stress-free moving services for you and your family’s peace of mind’ mmmmm, really.Now this wonderful experience, has only cost me $6,600.00, so just bear my journey in my mind when considering who to choose for your move.And no, I have no desire to contact your marketing department.

We have used Kent Removals a few years ago and we were not disappointed. We moved on the 15.09.2022 and the crew came in and started loading. By 10.30 am we were moved out of our rental and off to our new home. We arrived at our new home and the crew off loaded our furniture with so much care as to not damage anything, especially being a double storey home and the stair case was narrow.To the crew that did our home, a BIG thank you for looking after our home and us. The crew were polite, friendly, respectful and attentive... thanks for the jokes that came along.Thank you to Natasha for keeping in touch with us before and after the move.I would recommend Kent Removals to anyone and friends , trust me you will not be disappointed as this was the least stressful move for our family.

Do not use Kent to move your piano at all!This has been the roughest condition I have ever seen to move a piano. I have paid $220 for an export wrap but they just simply forgot! They did not forget to charge my money in advance tho. The piano was left in the truck with no protection at all , and there had been some very bad damages on the bottom and some scratch on the front. It is just so heartbreaking to see someone who treats your beloved piano like this! It is a piano not a piece of wood, can you show some respect pls?I have asked in the beginning if you are experienced, and repeated so many times to look after my piano before picking up. The answer is always yes but no action to match it at all.When accident happens, there is always the problem from the operation team! But how this can happen?If you cannot move Piano, dont provide the service.If your operation team cannot follow the instructions, dont promise!If your ground team cannot deliver the service, dont go out and sell!It is not upon the insurance company to fix the problem, it is your service! As a customer I am not buying insurance for you to be free of your responsibilities!Your marketing team is obviously running separately from your operation team. Your service has serious problem. This needs management team attention.I am just so disappointed and regretted using your service for my piano.

Moved from Adelaide to Cairns this week.All good except the delivery date was changed by 2 weeks. Mmmm. Kent came to the party in the end and only delivered one day late. Not bad!!

One of the worst. Initial customer care is very good but there after the level of professionalism is awful. Responding to emails takes days and only done after several follow up calls. Was asked to make payment within an hour to have my goods released. Quotes for transport costs were frequently revised upwards (captive customer). if you are looking for a trouble free experience try another firm - like Crown

Have delayed writing this review as have been waiting for weeks now for a call back from the company to address our complaint.Clearly they have no intention of addressing the issue.The storey goes that we contacted Kent online to ask for a quote-did not hear from them so contacted by phone. In the meantime it seems the online contact ask us to fill in an inventory list which we did.Company claim they did not receive this and sent too small a truck!We had a call a couple of days prior to move and discussed what we had that needed moving.Because too small a truck was sent ( we had a 2 bedroom townhouse) the remivalists had to make 2 trips blowing out a 5-6 hour job to a 12 hour job costing twice as much as original quote!In the end we had to go back to the property the next day to remove a 4 wheel drive full of items left behind ourselves!Also, we paid extra for piano removal but no lifting equipment whatsoever was available to move the piano-we had to help the removalists lift the piano up steps into the house!Very unsatisfactory service making an already stressful time even more stressful!
