Malanda Falls Visitor Centre

So impressed with the service of the ladies in the Visitor Centre when we visited on Sunday 24th July. Welcomed at the entrance and then taken around the Centre showing us the highlights. One of the best Info Centres on our travels around Australia and such a pleasure to chat to them. Beautifully laid out Centre with amazing information and interesting presentations about the area - in particular the Indigenous history which was moving and impressive. So engrossed were we interacting with this wealth of information that we were unaware that they were shutting at 2 pm being a Sunday. But the two wonderful ladies simply waited for us to finish saying they didn't want to interrupt us! Such a memorable experience seeing such dedication. Thank You.

Excellent visitor information centre, not just related to Malanda Falls but details of volcanoes, rainforest and tree kangaroos. Lots of interactive exhibits that kept our 4 year old entertained and helped her learn about the area. The staff there were really friendly, knowledgeable and clearly enjoy their time there.Highly recommend!

Fabulous tourist information Centre with an awesome interactive display of very interesting local information. Staff are very knowledgeable and ever so pleasant. Cafe also on the site

I volunteer there every Monday afternoon, it is an interesting situation telling tourists where is some of the wonderful attractions that we have on the Atherton Tablelands

The staff is this visitor centre is just amazing. Very friendly, passionate, but also knowledgeable. They keep track of the tree kangaroo sightings and explain how to spot them (if you're lucky, we unfortunately didn't spot them). There's a small exhibition, clean toilets, souvenir shop and you can find brochures about the surroundings and the inland of Queensland.

Absolutely brilliant, never thought I could say that about a visitor centre. Kids under 14 will love it. Lots of interactive displays and we, as adults found it informative.. good walks nearby and very friendly volunteers

An excellent visitors centre. The workers there (volunteers?) were all extremely nice and informative. Plenty of maps and brochures for things to do in the region. They also keep track of tree kangaroo sightings. Hot tip, we saw three at the Nerada tea factory. We stayed in the tablelands a while, and looking back I wish we went to the visitor centre first.The nearby walks were nice too.

This is a great visitor's information centre, located right next to Malanda falls and packed full of interactive exhibits. You can learn about volcanic activity, tree kangaroos, Bush survival and Indigenous history in this bright and cheery centre. There are also a range of local books, produce, jewellery and souvenirs for sale. Definitely worth a visit if you are interested in the natural environment and/or local history.

Very informative regarding the tablelands. You must visit and spend an hour or so. A shout out to the ladies there, very friendly and helpful. Thank you. I’ll certainly encourage people to visit the place plus it’s next to Malanda falls. If it wasn’t the wet season I’ll definitely go for a dip.
