We have a spacious bar with an open dining room, a function room used for special occasions or conferences/meetings. We also have Accommodation available, and Free Camping. Re-established 2014. The Border Inn Apsley is located near the Victorian/South Australian border on the Wimmera Highway, roughly halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide.With warm and cosy fireplaces for the cooler seasons, and a spacious and open beer garden/courtyard in the sunny months. There is a children’s cubby house and plenty of play space for families, your visit is sure to be a pleasure!! Events, Private Functions in a separate, elegant function room, catering for up to 50 people. Community Group bookings most welome. I was not expecting this kind of place. It is very nice, the menu is wide and everybody can find something. My honey prawns were perfect and the dessert very good. Everything was right. I will come back for sure.

Great small town pub with a free campsite for vans at the back. Showers are $5, the food is great and the staff were friendly. Loved it!

We got here on a Wednesday and unfortunately the pub was shut so it's 4 stars for the area and meeting the new owner who told us about a couple of local must see,s. Lake charliegark and mount arapiles definitely worth the look thank you.

Currently closed due to a car crashing through the entire hotel back in November 2022.Don’t be deterred though. If you are looking for free camping, it is still available at the rear.Be respectful and leave no trace.The pub will be back soon.

Lovely night.Bangers and mash and a chicken parma with a lovely red. Even went back for the apple pie for desert.No traffic noise in the free camp behind the pub and the 5k track was cut for our walk to the lake.Thanks all.Very enjoyable waking up to the birds too.

I very infrequently post revues but this hotel deserves a positive note. I was taken there whilst staying with friends at N'coorte and had a totally enjoyablle experiance.. I received good honest service, good country food in a clean venue with a relaxing ambience and at reasonable cost. I personaly receommend this somewhat remote hotel. Simon of M/Bridge

The Border Inn Hotel Apsley
We saw the facade and had to go in. Friendly publican and staff, nice assortment of beer. We needed accomodation as well and the publican put us up in clean, simply and cozy rooms, with a nice warm shower. Friendly patrons, great atmosphere. The Border Inn is a must visit for those in the area. I'd recommend coming through here on your way to/from Melbourne/Adelaide.
