We made a last minute booking at the bnb after Jetstar cancelled our flight from Avalon to Sydney on a Sunday afternoon. Tanya was very accommodating & the bnb itself is a beautiful stone building with lovely comfortable rooms. Tanya was so lovely she even drove us to the airport at 5am when our Uber cancelled on us. Would 100% recommend staying here & huge thank you for having us at the drop of a hat. Anna & Sam

Excellent country accommodation with plenty of history. The original Little River Hotel with heaps of charm and a connection with the original Mad Max movie. We stayed in the Bluestone Room and it was spacious, comfortable, and had modern bathroom amenities (including a bath/spa and double shower) . The common room includes an honesty bar, pool table, and dart board. Five rooms in total with on site parking. Next to Little River Hotel. Note: due to a heritage listing there is no air conditioning. There is heating, fans, and the bluestone design and verandahs keep the building naturally cool. A great experience.

It was just wonderful. I made a mistake on the booking, but the owner helped us out and was so nice and friendly. It was just like home there. She was absolutely helpful. The rooms were clean and had a nice size. Breakfast was okay, you could help yourself with coffee, tea, cereals and toast. All in all nice experience and I would book it again!

What a fun experience. The owners are great. Our room was spacious and comfortable, plus the food at the hotel next door homey. Make reservation, as it’s a popular spot. The locals taught us about the fast paced game of “footy” or Aussie Rules, a highly entertaining game, of which the finals are better attended than any grid-iron or soccer game final.

Craig and Tanya are very accomodating, great customer service. Bar room 4 is small but really nice, bathroom is gorgeous! Coffee machine and kettle. No Aircon due to heritage listing but fan available in wardrobe. Beautiful grounds and pub is right next door. Continental breakfast available. Easy access to walking Trail next to river.

Travelling west to east and stayed here on the 8th and 9th of November with 2 dogs. It was a little complicated to find the room on the first night, but after we did it was great! The room was set up with some gorgeous furniture! The bathroom was awesome! Overall a clean and tidy place. It was a bit further from the city centres with the quiet that brings and we loved that it was half way between Melbourne and Geelong. That old world charm really was great!

When you pay $180 a night one would expect a little bit of luxury. That's not what we got! When you open the door you think ah nice...Then you walk in.....When you look at the lights the black line you think is part of the design is in fact layers of dust, and the net bed curtain is very torn and dirty. The tiny TV would not work (no signal) and the only chair is extremely uncomfortable to sit in. There is nowhere to pur your suitcase, except on the floor and bed linen could do with a press - it looked like it had already been used. The bathroom looks great until you sit on the toilet. The seat moves and gives you quite a fright as you flinging your arms around to stop yourself sliding off.The breakfast is sadly lacking. As the first ones to arrive you expect to see the containers full, not empty. I was tempted to have a small packet of porridge but changed my mind when I opened the microwave. There is nowhere to get anything, on arrival tried to get a coffee at the pub next door but no luck.So after a juice and a piece of toast it was a long drive to get a morning coffee.Yes it's a rustic old pub in the middle of nowhere and would be an experience for some, but really needs a bit of TLC.I could not recommend this BnB due to the cost, condition and lack of service.
