We ordered a bottle of wine, prosciutto cheese and the ragu pastaThe waitress poured our glasses and took the bottle and never filled us back upI had to get up and find the bottle after some time to refill our glassesThe prosciutto was cut at the time and had bones cut with it.The pasta and ragu was a different story. We watched the waitress make another dish of this pasta behind the counter grabbing the pre cooked noodles with her bare hands and putting it in a saucepan then squeezing out the sauce from a vacuum packed plastic bag…..she also walked past us and muttered ‘I hate people’We were so shockedThe staff kept coming in and out of the kitchen chewing with mouths full, so were grabbing snacks and food during their shiftAsked for the bill and they forgotAll in all - Sydney prices for appalling food server practices

Meccanico is my local - the staff are friendly and engaging and the coffee, food and wine offerings make me feel like I'm in Melbourne or East Sydney! If you're in a hurry or on the go, order your coffee via the Skip or Hey You apps and if you have the time, dine in and savour the coffee, or enjoy an evening of tapas or dessert - always paired with wine! Thumbs up - I can recommend!

Great cafe with amazing decor inside. Coffee is one of the best I’ve even had - and I’m a Sydney boy! Katie and Carl are really friendly owners and love the community they serve. I will be back again.

Seafood here was properly done, not pub style and it actually was great!!The chef knows what is up, presentation and quality as well with options was incredibly delicious.

I visited Meccanico in late May 2023 for a late lunch after walking along the Murrumbidgee levee bank in Wagga. I had the duck terrine with pickled vegetables and sour dough bread. It was delicious and fortified me for the rest of my walk along Fitzmaurice and Bayliss Streets.

Delicious food with proper portionsI shared the meccanico breakfast and it was probably one of my most fave ‘big brekkies’.The atmosphere was cosy and friendly.

Visited Meccanico on a family trip from Canberra and we had a wonderful experience. We loved the selection of deli meats and cheeses, wines, creamy coffees and dessert (we recommend the tiramisu!). The staff were warm and accommodating of our huge family. Also a very cosy venue for a cold winter’s day. Recommend to anyone travelling to Wagga!

Visited for breakfast, fresh, delish and value for money. However weren’t permitted to order coffee in a takeaway cup to half consume with breakfast then take the residual on the road
