CA DRAFTING

Let me start by saying 1 star is far too generous!!As a tradesman with 20 years experience in the Engineering and construction industry whom has worked in the U.K, Scadanavia and Australasia I can honestly say that I've never seen incompetence to this degree!To summarise ; this guy is a 'Supposed' building designer who is completely unfamiliar with Australian Standards and struggles to use the CAD program! (Need I say any more)? Probably not, but I will!Also I see that you've drastically changed your initial response to Amanda - you've gone from throwing wild unfounded accusations to now playing the victim... and wishing her the best of luck at the end is the icing on the cake, as it's you who is still stalling our project by refusing to send our Engineer the DWG files!!Let me also state that the majority of our correspondence was done via email, I.e a black and white paper trail documenting your incompetence along with yourself in fact dishing out the 'threats' to Amanda ( a cardiac theatre nurse) such as if she doesn't call you back within 2 hours, you'll terminate the contract!The only reason we informed you of our impending legal proceedings was because you'd taken the entire payment from us then decided that you'd withhold the drawings from us as you wanted more money (classic)! However, they were finally released later that day and we thought that was the end of this terrible, unnecessary ordeal, but no.... now you're withholding 'Our' files from the engineer thus in turn stalling our project.In Conclusion you've only to read Amanda's review to get a clear picture of what we've had to endure and I can promise you it is 100% accurate and we have all the corresponding documents such as emails and text messages to back all of this up!This job was as easy as it gets. All Chris was tasked to do was re-develop an existing floor plan to the downstairs of an existing dwelling with the addition of an internal staircase and still to this day has not got it right! I wouldn't trust this bloke to design a dog kennel let alone a home that people are expected to live in.... I mean his first port of call was to omit the kitchen and part of the roofline!Please also see Amanda's attached screenshot to her review, there happens to be other people i n the exact same predicament as we are.Thanks for nothing Christopher!Absolutely disgraceful!Update*I just wish both my and Amanda's comments were not deleted as It really would've prevented other unsuspecting souls from making the same mistake we did...Update** still to this day, Chris's unrealistic plans have posed nothing but problems - it's really quite extraordinary.Response to owner - millimetres I can live with, even 10's but certainly not 100's the framing of the upstairs hadn't changed at all and with 4, yes 4 site visits to measure (thats when you actually remembered your measuring equipment) I really would've expected closer.Although you did mention as you left on the last day of measuring that you'd forgotten your glasses and hoped the dimensions were right...... they weren't our external walls are 75mm not 155mm!!!!I didn't want the files - they weren't even worth the paper they were drawn on! The engineer requested those files, but because you wouldn't respond to him he had to essentially redraw them, thus further hindering our project and adding more unnecessary cost.

Chris was awesome to work with as we navigated our first home renovation!I would recommend CA Drafting to anyone doing home renovations or other building projects.

Chris’ attitude significantly changed after payment had been made. His after sales care is nothing short of appalling. I tried to call him over a 24 hour period to ask for his advise on a project he drafted for me. He eventually picked up the phone but shouted aloud to tell me he was in the shower and I’d have to call him back some other time. He then hung up on me, without giving me a chance to say a word. He called later that day. Thinking that he’d called to apologise, I asked him if he could have dealt with that differently. He then got himself into another rant, justifying that he had to shout at me because he thought I was insisting on a conversation with him whilst he was in the shower. Unbelievable. Words fail and I can’t get over how unprofessional Chris has been, especially over these last two phone calls. He’s made it very clear to me how inconvenient phone calls are that have no monetary incentive for him.To make it worse, both his engineer and mine plus several builders have told me that the project is not economically viable the way that Chris has so optimistically gone about it.Behind the facade, this guy really is a piece of work. Be warned!

As a local tradesmen I know a lot of other trades people. When CA Drafting was recommended to me I was confident the end would result would reflect who we are. On Chris' second visit the design ideas he showed us were perfect. It was like he read our personalities and put them on paper. I was extremely happy with this, and after a few minor adjustments we were looking at a space that fitted us beautifully.I would recommend CA Drafting to anyone that's interested in a design that suits their personality and needs.Grant HoreBris Power Pty ltd
