Waited for hours, no train ever came

Paterson is a lovely little place to visit. There is lots of history and it is a simple stroll around town. The park is really pretty with the most beautiful old trees. A few cafes in town plus pubs to dine in to keep all happy for lunch and coffee. The Country Cafe was great for lunch,the coffee was excellent and the staff were super friendly. Lots of old buildings in town with a Museum. The kids can even go for a dip in the river if game. The railway line still operates but not too many trains go by. Good for a different photo down the tracks. Had a lovely day even though the weather was a little bleak. Grab a picnic or BBQ head to the park and then a walk up the street with the family. You will have a great day out.

Across the station is The Rail Motor Society's home base.. nice old trains in there. Paterson is a nice, quiet station with a waiting room, Opal Reader, benches and more..

Interesting station. Visited during Steamfest 2019. A bit far from Paterson centre, but walkable. Quite small. Stairs are the only way up onto the platform.Next to Rail Motor Society.

Be aware that this platform is rarely manned and has no ticket facilities.

Top station. Nice plants, all round a great place to be!

This station is not wheelchair accessible, and has a low frequency of only 5 trains per direction on weekdays. It has a nice station building that dates back many years.
