Venus Bay Caravan Park

The caravan park is very tired. The showers in the public toilets were a drizzle with little hot water. Showers in the cabins were cold - until we unscrewed the shower rose and cleaned it out - this should have been done when the cabin was cleaned. We asked a staff member about the local beach - and we were told they had never stepped foot on it! The beach is a walk up a hill (difficult with young children) and very treacherous. Will not be returning.

We stayed on a powered site while family members stayed in a budget cabin at Venus Bay Caravan Park.On arrival staff were rude and very unhelpful. The budget cabin was filthy and when we asked to pay extra for a newer, cleaner cabin the reply was 'it's a budget cabin what do you expect?!'. We expect cleanliness at a bare minimum.The park is in an excellent location but is in serious need of updating.Given the attitude of the staff we would be reluctant to revisit anytime soon.

We had an unpowered camping place for 2 nights. Smells like sewer, facilities not very clean. Camping is in bungalows backyard. We parked just outside the park to use toilets that are all the way in front of the park and the camping place is all the way at the end of the park (and there is no parking around any of the facilities).The owner was staring at my wife creepily the whole time and eventually came out yelling and asking us for payment (even though we were paying guests that paid in advance). Repulsive park and park owners. Not recommended!

Absolutely appalling facilities. The ladies showers had no pressure, the water just trickled out and lucky if the hot water lasted for two minutes. I already had shampoo in my hair so had the rest of my shower freezing. Every night time I had a shower I was lucky if the hot water lasted long enough to even have a quick wash. Only one toilet door closed properly and locked but had a space people could see through as they walked passed.Throughout the day and evening their was a strong sewage smell that would make sitting outside our caravan unpleasant.The pool was definitely not heated like advertised.The facilities has definitely gone down hill from last year.

The location is great, and the staff were nice. However the accommodation was terrible. We stayed in the Beach House and were booked for two days. We left after only one... and cut our holiday short. The Beach House was in pretty terrible shape overall, but the lack of cleanliness is what got them a one star. Mold everywhere in the bathroom, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Kitchen wasn't much better, and all the dishes looked like they had never been cleaned, sink and benches were very dirty. All the bedrooms were in average condition and the mattresses were old and heavily stained. Floors hadn't been cleaned either. The fact we checked in late, gave us no option to have it rectified. Overall extremally disappointed. Such a shame because its in a great location.The whole park is in dire need of some TLC.We wont be returning any time soon. :(

Great rates especially for what you get. We’ve been here a few times now and never been disappointed

The older guy behind the desk was disgusting to deal with.Showers had no hot water and were unkept.Whole place needs upgrading.I can see in the reviews that I’m not the only one who experienced these frustrations. Seems like they need new management.

Perfect location & amazing views in the area. Very friendly helpul owner who greeted us on arrival, nothing too much trouble. Stayed on a powered site with ensuite which was perfect for our weekend getaway. Will definitely be coming back!
