RACT didn't get a 5star review, because after a minor car park collision, I organised CCTV footage to demonstrate that I was stationary and was backed into, while I was continuously sounding my horn ( saw the car backing up). The other driver admitted full liability. The company providing the footage, kept it for approx 3mths, then understandably deleted it. As a result I had to pay ract $500 excess, because their insurance arm neglected to obtain a copy of the CCTV footage. Other than that I believe, their other services are more proficient. So, only 4 stars.

Waiting time was ridiculous. Wanted to do an insurance claim and was told to do it over the phone at the centre and there was that much background noise i barely hear the other end of the phone. thus the reason going to the centre i dont like being on the telephone

Terrible. No one answering phone. Waited 20 mins then hung up. My query will be face to face in a branch near me. Maybe I can have it addressed.?

Very good..Waited quite a while but once attended to, this lady,'s service was excellent...Very friendly & courteous & provided me with the information I needed...Very pleased with the service..Thank you

If you want to pay premiums without service then look no further. It might work for those that don't want to login into a portal to check payments, change details as their online system they can't even help me login into.Despite multiple calls and emails to various members of their organisation trying to placate my complaint then fix my issue of being able to easily login into their online system or reset my password online. Hopefully the team members over the last 12 months that tried to pass the buck to member relations, IT or another department might stand up and be accountable one day.Last year I even email the CEO and this got the chief customer relationship person on the phone the next day but not the actual issue fixed. So if you want words and not actions. As a customer with 9 different insurance policies it now worries me if I need to make a complain if they will able to manage that if the can't get me logged in. Hopefully the team of Saif, Lara Howard, Kate, Julie Genge might be about to get support from management to actually be empowered to fix simple long standing member concerns.Otherwise @Mark Mugnaioni the next step in trying to get a member based organisation addressing member concerns is to feedback to individual board members as if simple member basics can't be fixed over several years. Then if it's not a member orgnisation you're running what are you as I think I will be better off moving to a for profit insurer seeing it's lost its way with being Tasmanian and member focused at the same time.

Terrible experience! Had a claim with them for a car repair and the repair shop held my car for 6 weeks to make a simple repair. They were absolutely useless every time I tried to follow up for an update. A simple car repair should not take 6 weeks and you guys need to reevaluate who you partner with for your repair jobs.

Worst people, first never asked for anything untill i was paying money. When i claimed some damage they realized that claim can be declined on information basis. Now not even returning money back nor giving claim. DODGY PEOPLE. never go with ract in my opinion. And yes i was paying 80$ a month for 2000$ car insurance.
