Chalet Jindabyne

Wonderful experience staying at Chalet Jindabyne! It was exactly what we needed (and as listed/outlined in descriptions on booking & website). Lovely, friendly, interesting hosts. Beautiful view. Yummy breakfast. We enjoyed our stay in summer and look forward to returning in winter months!! Thank you.

Great spot nice and close to the town Center. Chalet was clean and tidy!Ideal set up for snow boards and gear.Owner was a bit of a stiff and kept our bond for making to much noise early hours of the morning. We had fist night fever but probably fair enough.All and all great spot. We will be back

Lovely owners. Place could be improved with a little renovation to soundproof rooms or new bedsheets. Otherwise a perfect base for skiing and nice way to fuel up before going up the mountain.

Neat, clean and affordable accommodation walking distance from the shops. Friendly service from Ian (pom) and Ann. Really happy with the rooms and breakfast. The beds were fairly comfortable and the rooms were warm. It was nice to have a hot shower after a long day on the slopes. Only down side was the parking situation, if you can't get a spot in the car park outside the accommodation you have to park up the road a fair way which wasn't really a problem. Will be back again next season!!

Would stay again, for sure! :) Very clean and tidy. Room had everything what was needed and my room was already pre-heated when I arrived (!!!) Thanks to the lovely staff (Pom and his wife). Made the short stay even more beautiful! Great breakfast as well - everything you need to get your energy level up to spend the day on the mountain! Can't wait to come back! :) Jana

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Absolutely not worth your money! Our trip got cancelled because of the Sydney lockdown & Pom treated us abismally. We were never told that we would not get a refund or credit in the event of a lockdown. When lockdown hit Pom kept the $1,500 we had paid. He also said he would relist the room for us, but never told us if he got other people in, so as far as we know he took our money & rented out the room too.We understand everyone is doing it hard in covid, but Pom completely ripped us off. He wouldn't even provide us a credit. Even when we went through the contract & fair trading it stated we were entitled to a credit if a refund wasn't possible. Pom was completely unreasonable and basically just laughed at us daring us to take him to court.Please save yourself the pain and book elsewhere!!!

BEWARE WHEN BOOKING. Due to covid, trip was cancelled. They told us they'd help by re-listing the room, but then when we asked them to do so they didn't bother and didn't contact us until we had to hit them up again and said they'd do it. Even as I write this, the room is STILL LISTED AS SOLD despite the fact that they told us they'd re-list.I guess they just don't care, as they get paid anyway.Unlike most other businesses etc, they will not refund/voucher no matter what the circumstances. Plenty of other decently priced accommodation in Jindabyne so maybe this is a good last resort.

My trip got cancelled due to lock downs, I called and emailed to try and reschedule but none of the other options worked due to us being in a lock down. I was told the room would go back up to try and be resold, all fair enough.The day before I received a check in email, when I responded that I cancelled this trip, Pom said he forgot to put our room back up as available. We now had one day to try and fill it.I asked if we could get a credit for next season and this was his response UNFORTUNATELY LIANA i am understaffed and over worked due to hours o extra office work and still having our properties open for guests that do come you have booked a non refundable non transferable booing but i am trying to refill and also offer alternate dates i will not be offering a credit for next season".What a champ."
